 Hello New Adventurers!

I sincerely hope you are having a great time so far on Black Desert! Maybe you like the combat, the graphics, the story, the exploration, or the women in this beautiful open-world game. However, to reach new heights and to progress further into this expansive world, you have to get stronger. When I first started playing, I was completely immersed but also entirely confused on how the unique enhancement system worked, and why in the world would anybody take a 15% chance to get slightly stronger? Some people will take such chances and RNG will side with them and have them suceed, taking them far. I am now at 235 AP, 237 Awk. AP, and 271 DP. Enhancing, and growth in general past certain thresholds can be completely agonizing, or be so euphoric that you feel confident enough to enhance something, and to your utter disappointment, have it fail. For example, something WONDERFUL that has happened to me recently was that I was able to enhance my Crescent Guardian Ring to TRI on my first attempt, and immediately after, my Basilisk Belt to TRI. I took 2 40% chances and they succeeded immediately! I was over the moon about my new stats, and perhaps you'll be able to feel such great pleasure one day.

However, to every pro there is a con. I had ended up foolishly using my boots to build my failstack to the appropriate size to enhance my belt, thus leaving me with weaker shoes which saw me fail 30% chances well over 15 times in a row. This rollercoaster of emotions embodies a side of Black Desert that you just can't really avoid. Your average player would veer away from 40% chances at the cost of gear shattering into unrecoverable bits, but to your average Black Desert player, these risks are just a part of the game. You will feel such pain and pleasure throughout your time here, but be sensible. Don't enhance something so valuabe on a whim that you'd quit the game for it, nor should you expect RNG to ever side with you. But when it does, oh how good it feels.

You have described the euphoric feeling, that gets you hooked on gambling!

But, i also have around the same gear score and also gone through the pain in many losses before gains and currently sit 235/237/306 Kutum, but, as you put it, I’m actually feeling as though I’m going to leave it!

Downsides:

Monster reduction whether compensated or not with faster spawn times and drop rates, has caused the game to feel less visceral in combat, less in silver, thus less fun! All characters 57-62 and recently re rolled fourteen ready for succession grinding to see what suits, didn’t like the awakening to these classes but like pre awakening on most! So I would say I know what I’m talking about in regards to silver per hour and agris fever has just brought back the shortfall at a restricted rate!

Due to the aforementioned, grinding is a chore due to the added fact I’m trading rest and relaxation for the stress of throwing a dice to build fail-stacks and then having to roll a dice to hit a higher gear score!

R.I.P to my guild, seemingly the only guild that liked a fare fight, respected those whom we fought in not bringing other guilds to the fight, even though we were only a four strong platoon and ten at best, smack talk is trash talk and was taken as such, some players are just toxic and don’t like to lose!

Parting notes:

I wouldn’t roll a dice each day at work, nor would I roll a dice to feed my belly or cross a busy road, so spending my relaxing hours rolling a dice to progress in a game, just doesn’t appeal to me any longer, it’s just not fun!

Great visuals, great combat and great life skills and for the most part a great player base, all murdered by the crafting RNG which as mentioned, causes problems in enjoying the game to its full potential!

I shall undoubtably return at a later date to enjoy the grind with a fresh mindset, so for now, peace out, have fun, stay safe!

There you have .

One personality you happily " Takes it"

And One who leave it .

Happy Halloween.

Btw .

I might be slow but I'd rather not take my body and mind over the coal s too much giving RGN a chance at frying my gizzard.

85% of my growth has just been buying from CM.

I've suited up 14 classes to about 175/250 very easy that way.

I'm fine.

Don't let RGN put you in Arkham ok

Lol.
