How hard is the Striker to learn and play? I wanted to roll one but I am a casual gamer so I did not want anything to insanely hard to play.

Well, as a striker main I can tell you few things:
- learning curve for basic gameplay lower than those most complicated like ninja or sorc
- striker is burst based class and offers good results with low AP. He's basic combos are easy. Grinding low-end content will be a breeze if you learn how to connect mobility skills etc.
- easy to pick up but hard to master. Anyone who says otherwise is just dropping legs on random occasions. It is very easy to punish a striker. In NW he is a front-liner with one of the strongest 100% BSR skills. He is also OK 1v1 when defending or taking over the spot (assuming similar gear score opponent and not some p2w sh*ts).
- class needs a lot of effort to stay competitive in terms of trash per hour in endgame spots like aakman, hystria, and later star's end or sycraia (once we get them)
- few months ago the class received major PvE buff which helped to raise his grinding capabilities a lot. Presently placed in the middle of grinding bracket.
- most importantly, I love his skill effects and animations, the bursty play style, and combos you can chain. That's the only class I can grind for hours without going insane.
