Has there been any information on whether they will make a specific PS5 version of the BDO?  I have an LG 55 2021 OLED CX and a PS5.  The game is so dark even after I do all the different options to calibrate the brightness.  If I brighten everything up, then it all becomes washed out.    

Also the graphics, don't look like they do on the PC. I have this game on computer and I have a beefy machine, so I play in 3440 x 1440 and a 2080 ti. I was assuming I could get the game to look as good on pS5 and this PC.    

I'm wanting to move to PS5, since I have friends that want to play on PS5 and don't have PC's.  

Any help on either making this version look better or an idea on timelines for an update?

PS5s HDR is incredibly setup inaccurate by margins of 100-150 nits. When it says "barely visible" try setting it 1 notch above that until it's actually invisible.

Do the same with the black or crank it all the way down. 

Calibrate in game as normal.

Make sure your TV is set up properly. Basics should be backlight at maximum - unless you're blacks are being lit up (this shouldn't happen on an OLED anyways) dont touch brightness at all, contrast to maximum, sharpness to 0 (or mid if your sharpness is softening).

Contrast enhancements "can" help. In most cases it makes everything too dark though. 

Bare in mind also if you weren't using a similar display on PC or HDR the games adaptive lighting effect introduced with the remastered version was created before HDR existed and created huge problems with the screen becoming too dark at certain angles

Do you have any advice on whether I should use performance or resolution mode in the PS5 settings?

Hopefully we get proper PS5 update, I enjoy playing Black Desert way more with controller now.

There has been talks in regards to next gen versions and that’s about all I can add, the response when asking in regards to next gen variations is usually “we can’t say nothing at this time” which isn’t a definitive no and I would assume it’s still being talked about, fingers crossed!

while there isn’t a PlayStation 5 version of Black Desert Online, the company has confirmed that they will be bringing their game to the new console. This is great news for anyone who plays BDO and owns a PS4 or PS4 Pro.
