Yes, I know. Me, a self-proclaimed non-pvp player posting a topic as such. But bear with it. 

Having a high level Shai seems kind of pointless atm. Seems like all they're good for is....well, alchemy and gathering, as well as providing buffs in group settings. 

But when you're flagged upon....may as well defend yourself by caressing the enemy's nether regions!

What kind of buffs would you like to see on a Shai's pvp viability? And is there any actual word on such a buff happening?

I've seen and had the "pleasure" to fight against shais.

They are absolutely SCARY in PvP. Imagine 6-7 soft cap players all attacking a shai simultaneously only her prancing around and running back to her group.

Shais are terrifying. They may not be the best ap scaled class or have good offensive skills but mark my words. They're the devil.

But when you're solo, there is no group. I've done my attacks that melt monsters they shouldn't, against other players, and it does literally nothing. 

I know that with the same scaling reduction as other classes, they'd be too OP. But a slight tweak is definitely needed. 

I main Witch. I melt in group PVP and can defend my grind spot reasonably... unless it's a Striker or any other class that can grab me. Then it's typically automatic that I move on. Having said that, all classes have specific strengths and weaknesses that seem mostly built around team fighting (Node Wars and Conquest), but do not seem overly balanced in the normal grinding environment. Certain classes will dominate 1v1 and certain classes will be entirely weak. Shai was never intended to PvP with. I have one that I do my lifeskilling (small scale) on, but if I am attacked, I typically run off somewhere and find a new spot. Shai's do not need PvP altering. They survive just fine as intended, and support in a scary way as intended. They are not intended for solo PvP. Make a PvP class if you're bored.

Okay....but you strayed miles off of topic and ignored the original point altogether other than just saying, "They're not intended for it, make another class" which is neither helpful nor contributing to the discussion. 

Why make a PvE class that can't defend itself? No logic behind it. 

Shai can pvp just look on youtube….get the ap like every other class

My Shai has just over 200ap just like my Ranger, but does nowhere near as much damage. 

You guys seem to be under the impression I'm a new player with a fresh lv50 shai whining about pvp. I assure you, that's far from the case!

Look i play as a shai as well so i was not under the impression that your a new player or fresh 50 shai. I was just trying to point out that shai can solo pvp that's all... trying to help ?

Oh I'm sure they can....at that ap. But the testing I've done in arenas using my Ranger and then my Shai, shows that it's not that viable an option at lower than that. 

Yea, the ap is pretty high can't seem to find lower ap shai fighting in ba...guess its just us lol 

I mean i do well in ba i guess win some lose some but i do agree and i would like to see a pvp buff for shai so we are not left just being healers and buffers
