After playing RBF for over a year now, I find one aspect of the feature lacking. No it's not the excessive lag that comes with instant death by invisible enemies (even though that should be fixed), it's the fact that RBF does not have a ranking system.
Hear me me out.
Currently the game runs on a RNG system that heavily dictates how fast someone upgrades their gear. I've gotten used to the fact that this is direction the MMORPG industry is moving and I'm ok with that, for now. I feel that this system could be made better by having a ranking system for RBF so that people with a certain gear score or rank get matched with individuals with the same gear score.
Now if it is too much to implement for RBF, there is always creating arena based PVP such as 2v2, 3v3 or even 5v5 arenas that match teams with each other depending on the ranking system. This way, if there is a team with a generous gear score, they would not be continually match with a team that does not have the numbers to put up a fight against them.
In doing this I feel that there would be less grievances when playing a PVP match. The out come would be that players feel more fulfilled battling someone that they can hold their own against instead of wasting time instantly dying to resurrect and instantly die again.
What are your thoughts on this?
While gear score is a part of the major imbalance among the teams of RBF, the bigger issue is the class imbalance. The winner is always dictated by whoever had the most witches and Archers. This issue also carries over into NW and Siege.
