I am trying to do this quest called a Poacher's Suggestion which you have to steal a mouse from a node manager and use it as bait to catch a big horn salamander alive and give it to jerrimo.. I have captured the salamander and brought it back to him but it won't register that I have it.. Its alive I haven't been hit I've tried all 3 salamanders one at a time and all at one I've switched servers and rebooted the game and console but no luck.. Am I doing something wrong? 

Quest is bugged. Tried doing all sorts of self fixes. New updates likely bugged a few quests out.  

So is there no other way around this? 

Not that. I’ve found so far. I was leveling my striker up trying to open up all the side quests up on Valencia 1 earlier today and myself and a random dk found the bugged quest line about the same time. I tagged most of the CMs that I’ve seen remotely active in the forums. being the most active I believe. Hopefully they see this quickly and resolve the issue seeing as how this is major quest you need in order to progress further.

I completed this quest a few weeks ago, this might be a new issue. I will report it now
