I heard there was a standalone character creator before BDO's PC launch. I hope there's something similar is in the works. It'd be something to mess with while the game is being developed.

This would be amazing, would love not to spent hours on launch creating characters. But I think if they planned something like that we would have got it already.

I cant express how good of a idea this is ???. I can spend more than a couple hours on creating a character

Yeah I hope they do it again and character name save 

I hope they add this so when server comes online I can have my character already done While I rush to make the characters my first character have my name.

Why do people keep talking like this game is a sprint?  I'd mess around in character creator for something to do, not to save time on release. I plan to play the game for a few years, taking a few minutes or hours on opening day isn't going to matter for me. 

just a quick tip

there is this issue with disconnect after time when you're in character creation after like 45 minutes
so you want to save the character every once in a while to prevent starting out from 0 all over again which is very frustrating if you already achived waifu status
 

I wonder will family names just be our GT or can we make our own.

This could be a nice idea, otherwise id probably just choose a preset and roll with it to not lose time

Well, I dunno... have you looked at a lot of the gamertags in online matches? some are very dumb or even "only bs" ... for some of them, that wouldnt matter. but a lot of ppl only created an gamertag, and doesnt consider it to be a name for a MMORPG.

The way I see it is that people would just like something to be able to mess about with before the game comes out. At the moment everyone is eager to know the in's and out's of the console version and being able to pre-make a character would help with people getting more invested into the game. 

I personally see a character creator before launch as a great opportunity for people to figure out what the creator is capable of and not capable of (it won't be identical to PC version). The creator also will help people who spend a good few hours of time making a character that they'll main be how they want without the pressure of making a character quickly just to start actually playing. It'll also grant players who don't get much time for games due to work and family to be able to jump into the game quicker once it releases which could mean a great deal to them. 

Overall if PA does do this it'll be a nice gesture to those who want to get invested into the game early and help those that would like to save time once it's out.  

We just made our lahns today on pc. Release is next week. I dont see why they wouldnt so something like this on xbox as well. The character creation on bdo is insane. You could literally be there for over an hour easy. 

Its a great idea, BDO's character creation is going to blow console players away! No game on Xbox has anything close, some games offer plenty of options but none look as good. This idea would help get more player interested in the game. Not only has its delay with vary little info pushed away alot of hyped potential players, but the internet seems to judge BDO pretty heavily on vary one sided opinions. New players who want to know more have seen alot of negative stuff circulated recently about the xbox version when they kmow so little. This idea would help new players make a decision for themselves if it might be worth trying. Rather then listening to the masses who know basicly nothing about the game yet (the xbox version anyway)

I think that would be totally doable and appreciated, pre-game name saves? another pc feature that was really great when pc version came out; names are taken up fast!

My suggestion would be to make sure you get a good idea of the look your going for during the beta just in case. 

I really hope they let us premake our characters too.Judging by the character creation videos I’ve seen,Im going to spend a few hours per character.Having my characters there when the game launches let’s me quickly dive into gameplay

I'm 97% sure we can only pick first name.Not having your Gt being your family name would make interaction and messaging people harder.

There's workarounds to that, clock on character and user info box. Im not excited about having jy user name on my characters, that defeats the purpose of having multple characters of both sexes.

It really doesn't your character will still have a first name for you to customize for example a sorc name Luna.Her last name will just be Billy bob .
