JetBlue's baggage allowance includes a personal item and a carry-on bag for all customers, with checked bag fees varying based on your fare type and when you purchase the bag. 

Carry-on baggage

All JetBlue passengers, including those with Blue Basic fares, are allowed one personal item and one carry-on bag free of charge. 

• Personal item: Must fit under the seat in front of you. While there is no weight limit, the maximum dimensions are 17 x 13 x 8 inches (43.2 x 33 x 20.32 cm).
• Carry-on bag: Stored in the overhead bin. There is no weight limit for carry-on bags. 

Checked baggage

The cost for checked bags depends on your fare and the timing of your purchase. For domestic flights, bags must adhere to the following limits: 

• Weight: Up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg).
• Size: The total dimensions (length + width + height) cannot exceed 62 inches (157.48 cm). 

Checked bag fees vary by fare type:

• Blue Basic: You must pay for all checked bags.
• Blue, Blue Extra, and Mint: Checked bag fees may be included or discounted depending on the specific fare and route.
• Mosaic members: Generally receive a free checked bag allowance.
• JetBlue Plus Cardmembers: May also be eligible for free checked bags. 

Overweight and oversized baggage

A bag is considered overweight if it exceeds 50 pounds and oversized if the total dimensions are between 63 and 80 inches. 

• Overweight or oversized bags will incur additional fees, which vary based on your route and how much the bag exceeds the limits.
• Additional fees can reach $150 per bag for overweight items and $150 per bag for oversized items. 

Important notes

• International flights: Specific baggage limitations and fees apply to certain international routes. You should always check the details for your specific travel markets.
• Multiple checked bags: You can add up to two checked bags in advance when booking or at the airport. You can add more than two bags at the airport starting 24 hours before departure.
• Purchase in advance: Purchasing your checked bag allowance online in advance can help you avoid higher fees at the airport.
