Southwest Airlines has replaced its traditional vacation packages with a new service called Getaways by Southwest™. The new in-house offering bundles flights with accommodations and rental cars, and is now available to book for departures beginning September 16, 2025. 

Key features of Getaways by Southwest™

• Availability: Packages are available in over 30 markets, including popular destinations like Las Vegas, Orlando, Hawaii, Cancun, and Punta Cana.
• Flexibility: The service is intended to offer the flexible policies that customers have come to expect from Southwest.
• Partnerships: Southwest has confirmed partnerships with major hospitality brands, including Caesars Entertainment and all-inclusive brands Playa Hotels & Resorts and Sandos Hotels & Resorts.

Here are some examples of vacation packages recently promoted by Southwest: 

• Honolulu, HI: 4 nights at OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, plus flights from Los Angeles (LAX), starting around $955 per guest.
• Las Vegas, NV: 3 nights at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, plus flights from Phoenix (PHX), starting around $404 per guest.
• Las Vegas, NV: 3 nights at Flamingo Las Vegas, plus flights from Phoenix (PHX), starting around $274 per guest.
• Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: 3 nights at Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa, plus flights from Phoenix (PHX), starting around $809 per guest.

What happened to the old packages?

Southwest Vacations, the company's previous third-party vacation package service, has been phased out. Any reservations made through the old service will not be affected by the launch of Getaways by Southwest™.
