this could be kinda handy in bdo
would be awesome if we even can set buttons on the chatpad to allow further inputs
 

It usually pairs with any in game chat. So yeah it should. Unless there is no Zone or Say channels in BDO, ik theres the Market Place to type. Actually yeah there is Say chat. But yeah my point is, it should work. No reason why it shouldn't. 

I doubt you could use it for other commands other than just to chat.

Mostly agree, previously I would have 100% agreed with this and I don't think the Xbox currently has button mapping in place for this. Seeing that MS is looking to implement full kb support in the near future, it's possible that they could add it. I doubt PA would go to that extent to design controls that allow for a kb to work in conjunction with a controller with for the small number of people who would use it.

I would actually say that the elite controller does more to give an advantage than what that little keyboard does. I cannot imagine taking my thumb off the stick in order to try to find a tiny letter on that kb. Now if they allow full size kb/m to play on the same level as the controller, that could possible be an issue but than again people use controllers on pc even when kb/m is allowed so ????

it has very tiny buttons so what you could put there are elixir and food buffs and maybe some quickslots for lifeskill clothes
i wouldnt recommend this thing in pvp since you have to look onto it and theres no way you will hit these tiny buttons blind with accuracy

it is a addon for more QoL in marketplace, chat and some bonus quickslot access would be a nice use of it too

that beeing said i dont see why this would grand much advantage vs someone who dont play with it
in racing games you have steering wheels and it is common thing no body bat an eye about
i would assume for an mmo we could say the same for a keyboard add-on for controller

towards advantage im more concerned about XIM

 

the chatpad works just fine on the pc version so im sure it will work on the xbox one version. the only difference is in the pc version you have to have power connected the entire time to use the chatpad since it keeps going into sleep mode after it isnt used for a bit but the xbox takes care of that through the console.

ehh im pretty sure they didnt make the chatpad for pc users. i like playing in my chair at home and dont want to have a bulky keyboard on my lap preventing me from gettin comfy so im just glad it works for pc even if it requires constant power. normally pc players dont need to worry about this since they have a kb at their desk.
