I understand that this game is pay to win for the current pc version. I was wondering, at launch would we see a different version for the consoles or the same pay to win elements? And if not would it be possible to play private servers?
Its not p2w, dont believe the bullshhit, it's not a racing game

Asking about private servers on a games official forums is a pretty bad idea
Can you buy the base game and expect to compete with the top players hour for hour played? No, do you need to spend thousands like some p2w crybabies make it out to be? No. If you want to be reasonably efficient expect to pay between $60-$100. And then value packs once they release, anything more then that is purely optional
The game is easily "pay for convince" but far from "pay to win." I really hope they take everything from the PC version and bring it over.
Most of the people that say its P2W are talking about the top 1%. If you want to be apart of that group then yeah it is.
But almost everything else can be earned just buy playing smart. And putting in soms elbow grease.
Also I wouldn't suggest talking about or using P servers. Quick wsy to get banned or worse...
BDO has never been pay to win. PC version is pay to outfits and other stuff, You have to earn lvls/ gear/ silver etc...
What do u think about valks cry? Yes, na and eu servers was not p2w but i saw mena, it is not good guys. At the begining of mena server there was no limit for pearl item sale on market for example.
I mean everybody has their opinions but artisans memory and caphra stones are pretty pay to win to me because it makes progression alot faster and alot more easier and less of a grind. So players that spend money on these items will have an advantage over someone who doesn’t at the same amount of time spent in the game between the two.
But they both will reach the same place, one spending time and the other spending money. Spending money doesn't give anyone extra power for endgame, just helps them be competitive with the no-lifers.
This is reminding me of a player called Amin_Ashmed or something, spamming the in-game chat about how BDO is P2W and TERA is a 10x better game on the beta's server chat.
If anyone else has seen him, you'll know of whom I speak.
The game is not pay to win. Is more like pay for convenience. Anyhow, what does “Win” mean in BDO? Lul

You need to spend at least 150$ (pets, maids, weight increase, inv slots and additional 30$ for outfit if you don't want to look like beggar) to enjoy the game. Is the game playable without those? Yes it is. Is it enjoyable? Nah... If you are not ready to spend decent money you are better of playing something else.

Ask that again when u get rekt in 1 hit by overgeared people while trying to grind on "their" spot (that is coincidentally only spot worth grinding).

you can switch servers I believe, been doing it in beta.
Yeah this game is not at all pay to win. You can buy cosmetic stuff or exp boosting stuff but that doesn't really count and is in every MMO.
I really can't wait to drop $100 on outfits for my Sorc, and I feel stupid that I want to actually do that

Dont worry mate, Ive spent at least 3,000$ on the pc version probably be close to that on xbox as well over the course of my playing time (mainly costumes for each class with some weight and i wasnt in the top 1%). As for P2W aspect everyone has opinions on this matters. While you can buy every piece of gear in the game with silver you can also buy value packs costumes pets on the marketplace. The arguably part of the P2W would be The tent and blessing buff along with the fishing rode ( I dunno if they ever put it in NA's version i havent played since lahn first release). Blessing increase krama gain engery and drop chance. The higher levels you get after soft cap the more base stats you get so an exp boost could in some eyes be considered P2W. My personal opinion is, is very minimal P2W in my eyes yes somethings are p2w, are they super impactful to the game. No I dont think so.
TLDR my opinion is pay2win yes but p2w is low impact on the game itself. You will feel the smite of RNGesus more in this game than anywhere else or facing a "p2w" player. Some people will be blessed...others like myself...well we dont talk about those long nights crying at +65FS on a tri fail because you rouletted all your other gear and said fk it and stopped caring or risking the biscuit fail stacking raba's just to have it pri . ?
