Hmm not sure. Have to do more research on lifeskilling and such, hopefully I'll know before release.

I'd centralize in Velia because of the beach view. 

I don't plan on having one single home base. Planning on using Velia for cooking since it's close to all the potato nodes, will use Heidel for making tools and crafting costumes, Trent for trade crates Altinova (if we get it to start our version) for making Grunil 

Mostly just want to craft in locations located conveniently to the resources needed.

Oh and I know Heidel doesn't have a max level tool shop but I'm not touching alchemy so I don't need it......cooking + alchemy would require WAY to much bank space at the start

it has one
dont underestimate alchemy it might not be profitable at all 
yet it is the only way you can get a steady supply of blue tier elixir that give some good advantage in pvp and pve
also beeing that one guy that supplies the group with group elixir is very rewarding

and for the storage slots
pay2win and craft all dem clothes and rods

Ill eventually do alchemy just not right away. I'd rather do cooking for beer, and pet food. After a few months when I have enough cp for extra storage space ill expand into alchemy. Until then ill just buy sliders off the market

Main base always Velia. Money and mats go here. Processing out of Hediel, cooking and alchemy in Velia, fishing in grana, and imperial trade-in in Olivia. Velia is mid map between pirates kama and valencia. Also your enhancing and failstack alts can hit three to four world bosses from there EZ. Also close to my processing in Heidel. Proccess in Heidel since you wanna gather on your processer. Sheep mountain and the golemn farm are to the left and right of heidel. Fish in Grana to transport to sandgrain and unload for the most EZ income based on distance.  Dont just pick pretty places... time is money in BDO and you never have enough of either.

well everything you mentioned and since you wrote time is money in BDO and you never have enough of either. 
heidel does it better
it is more in the center of every world boss like karanda, kzarka, dimitree, bheg (shorter distance)
it is better stationed in terms of connecting serendia to mediah and valencia it is the real center of the map
it is closer to sheep mountain that we from now on never mention again for goods sake
the warehouse is closer to your apartment for mass producing
it has way more workshop and crafting possibilitys - why send your mats to veila? you cant do anything of value there

you can use it and save alot of money and cp since it connects better to every capital city like calpheon, altinova and valencia city

veila was chosen for alot of players because of its city guards and downgrading items
it was ez to downgrade with an neg karma alt because you would spawn most likely before them 

but know they've added a downgrade option for 100k on every priest in the citys so veila .. nah m8

Velia is where I keep my money and is in the middle of PIRATES kama and Valencia... When I come in from pirates, i just walk right over to the dock and start smashing. Its where I keep my alts and do my enhancing. Its where I cook and do alchemy. I DO NOT for any god forsaken reason waste time and money in warehouses or workshops other then crates lol. 

Heidel is my second home. Its where I do all my processing and keep all my processing mats stocked. Then I run the same guy over to gather at the place you dont want me mentioning so noone shows up and hit bosses from there with him as well... sometimes (usually have an alt logged out there unless i need them for stacks)

The reason I dont do everything in heidel is Id have to melt my visa for the storage... It wont hold all the alchemy/cooking/processing/failstacking/blackstones etc. even if you buy all the storage buildings. I do use heidel but its not my "home". I actually dont have enough to keep up with the loot at pirates or sasuans.. plus other things like buying flares to pop on karma bombers for decs and random things like that... Ideally you want 6 of each to never have to goto town. I like pirates because its 15mill an hour on the bad side of RNG. No other place my level is close except for Gahaz and its a constant warzone and still less money. Around 12 mill an hour. Also the travel usually keeps the karma bombers out. Also i hate the desert. I get in there for exp and scrolls and get the hell out.. lol

there is no need to send pirate bandana back to calpheon using maid
just bring a horse and fisherboat and overstack

it is not the travel @pirates that keep the karma bomber out
if you can manage to hold onto main rotation on pirates it is ok-ish i assume but only when you dont have enough gear for valencia regions by now i would assume you between lvl 57-59?
exp rate at pirate is meh, you gona waste time spending there too long progress wise also rce dosnt sell anymore since AP patch
if you got tri weapon you cold go to basilisk (180 AP) to get some decent exp and chance for basilisk belt which is BiS so you would need it anyway at some point and grinding some of them along with additional silver and decent exp is better than turning in your pirate millions in for 1 basilisk belt while loosing a tons of exp progress
this is for all the BiS items / grind spot
you also can make good use of villa buffs that way

What? No. Lol my main was 61 but i rerolled wiz and im 60. Basilisk is bottom tier for exp and worst almost for money. Its a **** spot. Valencia is bad for money period other then centaurs and hysteria. Gahaz okay and pila ku not bad. Hysteria is the only one better money then pirates and im not quite there yet. Also wiz doesnt grind it effectively. Valencia only good for exp and money if you get gold acc (hardly ever happens and i have t7 nodes) but its crap trash drops and all.

Rce are same price as serpahs. Bce earrings still best place holder for classes not acc dependent. Pirates is 15 mill min and hour. With artisan two and coins its way more.

I dont use maids i over stack on my euphoria and put coins on fishing bot. I turn in when i have 30k if i need momey but prefer 100. Maids sell the jewelry drops and fetch and send things back like blackstones etc.

basilisk belts also 49 millish. Thats about two hours of pirates for me. Now ive spent maybe 50 hours at basilisks for guild missions and never seen one belt drop. Its the huffest spot in the desert. Thats why noones ever there lol. I hold rotation fine at pirates. The thing is you gotta go solo. Not sure why youd ever grind in a group but just saying. 

Btw. Here is my pve gear... chose to push for all tet instead of tri BCE and then just jump to tungrads next. Pvp i use nouver and have about 16 more ap. After 4-5 months i should have way better gear but i work full time an have a family so eh its a start lol

i dont know your sources but pirates remain a blast from the past
basilisk give around 12 mill / hour and you should be fine with your gear tho
you get additional valencia scrolls and black magic crystals also rocaba  which are very valuable items

you also could do pila ku with that gear on 61 which you actual should consider doing cos i never would have expected someone on 61 actual do still pirates

Sources are every player on bdo lol. Theres a reason noones fighting over basilisks.. it  isnt anywear near 12 mill and you dont even need that high of level or gear for it or pila ku now since renown. Pirates is a lul for my gear and level tho. I should be at temple or manshums tbh. I dont have the alch yet to make my own mats for kama and dont wanna invest in t2s. Manshums is good but im so far away from my guild and boss fights there. I just love pirates man. Lol also holding out for duo or tri bce drops... wouldnt that be awesome. 

Also with kids and twitch chat, alot of the times the easy grind is better for me. I can stand there for 10 mins and not die lol

Heidal is gone be my hometown it's closer to most almost all of the good grinding spots so it's either Heidal or Altinova for me..

pirate isnt anywere near 15kk / hour aswell and you wont be able to collect all loot unless you own 5 t4 pets and still you would leave smth behind
you could loot all of it by cycling through pet groups tho if you own 15 pets 

but if you enjoy a fast grind with lot of npc dropping dead why not.. keep going i like this kind of grinding aswell but it is by far not time/money effecient

I have t3s and they keep up. Just gotta puttum in red. Its actually way more if you open your area up more or go jungle. Its less for me since as a wiz i clear quick but have to stop moving to dps.

with 200 AP you could try out mount combat to overcome this issue
last time i met a wiz on his hourse it was like gandalf the white just came in casted a universe and instant accerlerated into another dimension
