Theoretical Suggestion about the Performance

Hi Adventurers and GM's,

 

I read your latest "annoucement" about the upcoming Roadmap, where you issuing the "Performance" for Node/Conquest Wars. I have may an Idea which could work, but I don't know how your engine is working at all so this is more a "theory" instead of a suggestion. As far as I know, as soon you are hiding things, they will be loaded into the cpu instead of the gpu, may you have the option load a seperate map specially for node / conquest wars. With map I mean the Black Desert Online world but with edited things, so things are not just "hided", they are removed for the time that the node / conquest wars are acting.

May your developers has already tried out, but I will list a few things that may could take off heat of the CPU and may give a small performance boost.

 

Suggestion Result
Remove all Gathering spots when Node/Conquest Wars is starting and bring them back when the Node/Conquest Wars are finished. This could help in Node wars, because when it would be disabled like the monster/mobs the cpu would has to calculate less actions.
Kick all unparticipated players from Servers who are not doing Nodewar. When a Guild won a nodewar, they can still be on the server or change the server. When all nodewars are finished, everyone can join the server again. This would may increase performance when Node Wars are on location near towns, but I don't think it will help much.
Remove all NPC's (real removing not just hiding) during a Nodewar except for the important ones like (nodekeeper, stables, docks, storage, potion merchant, marketplace, specific "buff" NPC's like the church). Lore wise you could explain this move by: The town gates are closed, civilliance are hiding/ being evacuated. This would also may increase the performance when Node Wars near town locations, less NPC calculated and rendered, more performance should be available.

 

Well that's it for now, I know it is not much and may your developers has already thought about this solutions if not may it will help you to fix the performance.
