Tried typing this out a few times but keep getting "Contains words you cannot use" so I'm gonna try and edit it and add each word at a time.

When will PA finally address the shai class and provide it with the same basic game features that is allotted to literally every other class? The treatment of the shai class since its release in BDO has felt at best as ‘deliberate neglect’.

Examples:

-No skill addons for shai awakening/talent skills, which every other class has

-No blackstar awakening weapon (on PC and will probably be excluded on console as well), which every other class has

-Unable to put caphras into its awakening weapon, which every other class can do

-Unable to use the awakening weapon exchange coupon on the shai, which every other class can do

-Excluded from the class reworks despite arguably being one of the classes that needs a major reworking compared to other class that have been included

-No succession skill set, which every other class has

-Unable to register, buy, or sell its awakening weapon on the central market, which every other class can do

-No pathway to a guaranteed pen awakening weapon, which every other class will have (as announced by PA recently)

-Mutually exclusive skills (only being able to choose one of the 3rd tier of the shah’s buff skills despite the shai already minimal skill list)

Shai is Black Desert Online’s only true/designed support class but in large and small scale pvp its support functions are lesser than ‘non-support’ classes abilities (i.e. caster/valkyrie’s protect area skills, caster’s instant/large scale healing skill). Shai as a playable class feels less like another class in BDO and more like an idea that got implemented and never fully fleshed out even after all the time that it has been out and while all the other class fairly regularly get some sort of change/adjustments. Shai damage output/factor is also severely reduced compared to other classes while simultaneously being a 2nd/3rd rate support class.

In conclusion, Shai is BDO’s sole support-oriented class but is an inferior support class compared to other classes while also having its damage drastically reduced in PVP content. It is not even given the same basic game functions that every other class is allowed to have and utilize due to what can only be described as intentional neglect. Every time a “game-wide” function is added or given to players to be used on their classes, the shai is frequently and EXPLICITLY excluded from those features/“gifts”/etc.

What can be done to address these problems:

Allow shai the same features that every other class is privy to

-Addons on awakening/talent skills

-Buying and selling of its awakening weapon on the central market

-Inclusion on game-wide features/pathways that every other class is allowed to have (guaranteed pen weapons)

-Allowing caphras in shah’s awakening/talent weapon

-Major class rework to bring it inline with every other class

-Improved effect of shah’s support skills (full heal on its “Get well skill or percentage based instead of a fixed number)

-Having the area of shai’s buff and debuff skills act as continuous application of the skill’s effect which then counts down once outside the area

-Class passive that has impact on PvE/PvP content (evasion up/dp up/health regen)

None other the things listed feel like unreasonable demands since every other class has them, with the sole exception of the shai. If shai was intentionally designed as a support-oriented class then that is one thing, but it feels unpolished and unfinished given its comparison to other classes that have greater support skills (caster’s PA and healing skills are more potent than the “support-oriented shai class”). With the recent class reworks of older class by PA to a degree being an admission that the older class simple are not comparable to newer classes there shouldn’t be any reason that once again shai is left by the wayside and further neglected.
