A better way to adjust throatburn would be to include a variant called for lack of a better name "air throatburn" this would be a satisfactory change to ensure that the old animation newly named air throatburn would be optional. Just as ranger has many sub skills that air optional. It can be an optional bar in the skill chain thats lockable. This in part would save the time and effort to revert or even remove said new variation and satisfy the really big community surrounding this ability, that to be fair is difficult to even do but satifying to accomplish, that is being altered.

In conclusion 

Make an ability "Air throatburn" and make that ability the old animation place it between throatburn 3 and absolute throatburn as an optional skill.
