I noticed that sometimes when I open up the inventory screen and then close out of it, there would be a few seconds of time when my character would be unable to move. The amount of time varies from as short as 2 seconds to as long as 10 seconds. Most of the time it is just a minor issue, but it happened a few times during boss fights when I would use a potion from my inventory and then my character would be unable to move for several seconds afterwards, causing me to take heavy damage during that time. 

The same is true for talking to some NPCs. After taking to an NPC, sometimes the game would pause for a second or two before I could do any action. It's extremely frustrating, especially if you are getting hit by mobs.

Before you touch the left stick make sure you have exited any menu you're in. Moving the stick before you exit the menu is what causes the loss of control

While you are right, this is still a bug.

Bump this up. It may kill you if your DP is low and monsters spawn on top of you 

I've been having this same issue lol, just visiting the central market & backing out causes it for me, but yeah at times talking to npcs triggers it too, as well as inventory.

It also happen during fights when suddenly the Seasonal reward page popped up. Exiting if may cause your character cannot be moved for a few seconds, enough for him to get mauled to death.
