I've only been playing about 3 months and some change, but I gotta say the great ocean content seems just a little off. I'm master/artisan in about everything and I gotta say the game feels neatly balanced. Yes it could use a little work but most things seem well thought out. From how the market works to imperial delivery. I kinda do a little of everything, u never run out of things to do. It's pretty nice.

My only suggestion would be to make smh and hotspot fishing a little more profitable. Like having a 1-2% better chance at prize fish in a hotspot. I have anxiety, insomnia, and depression so sometimes it really helps to just chill out on my boat and fish.

If I active fish and fill my inventory, then run it across the desert with the buff I make about 60-80mil. All that work takes about 2-3 hours tho. In that same time grinding an area I can make 1bil. They're both active activities, so maybe making 300-400m in those 2-3 hours would seem better.

Lastly, sea monster hunting. I spent my first month and a half or 2 making a frigit, now I have a galleass with +10 green. I'm currently working on blue gear, the cox combat is a ridiculous time sink. So maybe make one of the SM have a small chance at dropping would be awesome. My biggest suggestion tho is their drops, I seen somewhere it used to be broken and you'd make a ridiculous amount. Now it seems the exact opposite. As a new player it's gonna take anyone about 4-6 months on average to get a carrack. Then they're also gonna realize it doesn't really make much money. In that same time frame you could've made a worker empire, and have about 275+ap with 320+dp to grind. Tbh kinda makes the great ocean seem to be not even worth all the trouble.

I think if u make carracks easier, ppl will kind of lose interest tbh. Right now as it stands you can't p2w, the only way to get one is by hard work, and that's amazing. I think maybe make it a little more rewarding. Don't break it and make it crazy profitable. But it's also active play. If grinding an hr for top players makes about 1bil (all items sold) then maybe make smh somewhere around 500m. Let's be honest, getting the gear to grind top spots takes longer than a carrack, so in turn it should make more. But if u go smh and only bring bk 100m in guild silver, kinda makes u not even want to do it.

I love the ocean content, I just feel like I'm never going to get anywhere doing it.
