any time i look up the XBOX series X/S upgrade install pack on the microsoft store on my xbox it just says not sold separately and i cant install it was told by a friend i could download the next gen version off of the xbox companion app an i did that but then it started saying i do not own the game and when i go to manage game an add ons it says i dont have the game installed ive uninstalled an reinstalled both versions of the game cleared xbox cache an soft and hard reset my xbox twice already and nothing has changed please help

for context i had the previous black desert i had the install upgrade pack pre installed i also went and purchased the mythical package excited to jump in and since july 26? i've not been able...to so idk what's going on tbh

Can't get my free upgrade on my series x. I will never play again.

I was able to fix this by contacting Xbox support and explaining the issue to them. They are able to issue an account credit then purchase the next gen for your account as a work around. It is an issue with the licensing and that is a same day fix as long as you get them on the phone.
