it looks like NA is just making one big 400 man zerg alliance that will ruin all pvp and competition on their server instead of fighting each other like eu.

why does NA server always do this zerging? i dont get it, it just kills all competition and fun. they killed all fun on NA pc as well

Na because I rather not lag that's just me.

What do you mean by zerging? This doesn't sound good...i'm sticikng to na bought pack here but also want good connection.

Didn't play PC, but from experience on other games, bad players tend to group up to the point where 90% of them are fodder. Just have to outplay them.

on PC, the pvp on NA has generally just been one big alliance that grows so big that there is no competition left because all the strong guilds hold hands until all pvp is dead, when they could instead fight each other like they do on EU.

In NA there is also a culture where the alliance will buy every other guild available to help them, instead of fighting for themselves, so its not who is the best guild, but who pays the most smaller guilds to create more lag and the fight to be over in 20 minutes or server disconnects....

In EU there is a PVP siege podcast every saturday, so if a guild uses NA tactics, they get flamed for it because it shows lack of skill and it kills pvp. thats why castle sieges on EU lasts much longer and are more fun to watch on twitch.

Sometimes a really strong EU guild will fight 3-4 other guilds with less gear score, but that is accepted because the fight can still last a long time and is not that onesided due to better tactics and gear.

I hope for the sake of those that will play NA here, that the same wont happen, but there is already a zerg guild called blood legion NA, that have 400 members and will kill the NA server just like alliances did on PC. If NA was smart they would split up that alliance before its too late.

This should not be allowed to happen. devs need to limit alliance size or make this only allowable on pvp servers. This is worrisome, and with some already stating that they plan to hang around waiting for new 50s to attack. ?

I don't pvp so I don't care about node wars or seige wars in fact I would prefer to have a server for non pvp system where you can not pvp anywhere no matter what and if you do or have pvped then you can't come to the server so people can not take spots just because they want it when someone else is already there so they kill them and take it.  But it is OK I know they won't do that but I would like it. 

Our guild plan to play on EU. I'm from Estonia, so NA seems should be laggy then.

Otherwise, you can play on empty servers and all spots belong to you

so far seems balanced, but your right, at lest we get some kind of idea.... 

NA - be ready for the extremely aggressive AP monkey builds.

I think you are referring to Blood legion , yeah we are going to get screwed by that zerg for sure.

BDO on pc its the opposite

PVP on NA has been dead for a long time, but it's alive and well on EU with weekly twitch siege podcasts for nearly 3 years

ESO is still active on eu, but that game is terrible for pvp

If you want to PVP in bdo, eu will be the best server for that, because many are coming from pc over to xbox here

NA will just be one big alliance that zerg the rest, gl with that until it kills all pvp on the server like they did on NA PC.

You wouldn't because the ping or connection issue will affect fighting.

I wouldn't recommend playing on the opposite region in general, since ping matters more in this game compared to other mmos because of the action combat, especially for dueling.

But slower classes like wiz/witch will be less impacted by the extra ping

On NA, they pvp by creating as much lag as possible to win, It's absolutely idiotic I know, but that's the meta they decided on NA since the beginning and it's why pvp sucks on NA compared to EU. If you're afraid of lag, sieges WILL lag on NA with a pvp culture like that unless they change it, because they will just throw lag on each other instead of tactics and fights.

So if you think of it like that, you will probably lag less if you play sieges on EU because the eu culture is different, and there are more balanced siege fights with tactics between guilds instead of the mentality to just cause lag with one big alliance and zerg to win.

Another recent problem on NA is that they can't kill world bosses on time before they despawn because too many people there don't know the mechanics of the boss fights and just fight blindly,  while on EU the world bosses are killed just fine because the EU server got more players that learned the mechanics. Pearl abyss patched it this week so the bosses take 25% more damage to make it easier for NA to catch up to EU, but this gives you a general idea of the NA vs EU playstyle.

What class are you going to play? Then I can better give you advice how much the ping will affect you. If you're from NA and decide to play EU instead, you will have an easier time getting good grinding spots at your 6pm-11pm evenings though, since most of eu will start to go to sleep then.

Well besides witch and wizard, possbly sorcores,mystic, and striker...first 2 def....friend doing archer,valkyrie, and dk
