With more players joining the game, along with launch date quickly approaching the discord is really in need of people to make sure that general etiquette is followed. On the weekends when the PA staff are gone it gets pretty spammy and bad.

Between the occasional bickering and the image spam I think the community could really benefit from active staff, be it player ellected or a PA staff, over the weekends and during the non-active hours for PA (which is peak hours for NA) 

What does everyone else think?

Blocking other still seems to be our best option. Either theres no mod or overly strict modding. 

I agree.  As the game becomes more popular you get more and more of those people who are attention seeking.  Constant spam of inappropriate content/memes or harassment of other players can lead the community to a point of no return.  Those people already exist and as soon as the current mods come around they behave.  I really dont want this community to end up being so toxic.  I think more mods is a great idea.  Need chat police.

Yeah but it still looks bad to new people joining unfortunately 

Its usually dead for hours which will probably change as we get closer to release. If you dislike seeing someones posts or if someone is spamming - block him.

I think beyond should make guide for blocking on discord too.

If you have an issue with a player please take that to a private channel rather than bring it into every single forum thread. Thanks.

100% agree. Theres been times at one point I haven’t even been in there on purpose as some of the off topic stuff is just ridiculous. It will change heavily imo as launch occurs but none the less, I would love to moderate the discord. 

I hope the discord will not get as crazy as it was, next week when beta starts first timers going to need help. I also hope they will have cms on here and thhe xbox club. Not everyone uses discord.

Unfortunately, there are probably only so many places that support can be provided. The discord is a really good place to get support and is open to a lot of platforms that people can easily get on and ask questions. The last beta was pretty fun and had a lot of users answering and asking questions in the discord. I would guess that this upcoming beta will be the same.

Join a guild for support and guiding. Discord is a social hub. There's a small chance you'd get any help since people are talking amongst a group of friends etc.

In the official discord? Right now it's full of spam and stuff but during the beta's and stuff it's very active with people helping. It's easily the most useful place to actually get support and not have to wait.
