Does anyone know how to place furniture on the Xbox one I’ve been trying to work it out for ages

In your home?

When I choose my crafting station it appeared in the top-down view of the room.  Moved it with the stick and rotated (slowly LOL) with the right and left triggers (I think).  Pretty straight forward for me.

I don’t have that option I’ll have a look in a bit 

All I want to do is make beer for my workers lol but I can’t seem to place the cooking station in my home lol 

Hummm...

So I placed a cooking station and all I had to do was have it in my inventory and it showed up as available furniture in the placement window when "editing" the home.  Oh! When you were in the house you own you have to hit a direction on the D-Pad toped the interface.  Maybe that is where you were off?

Ok a button on the dpad I tried all of them but nothing happened

There is a on-screen prompt for all the commands.  Humm...Sorry I'm at work so I cannot check right now.

May I ask what the issue was?

I was in a different residence it wasn’t working in there for some reason but worked fine in another lol

Ahh.

I don't know if it matters but some of your properties will be storage, woodworking, boatbuilding, etc...I don't know if you get to custom decorate those places.  That might have been it.
