Why is it such a big deal? Why not?

I think it's a great way of adding more immersion, interaction and a social layer to the game...

it's a big deal because when people see "Dungeons" they automatically think "WoW Instances, everyone standing around town waiting for queues to pop."  and if everyone is standing in town, PKers can't gank and harass them properly. But more importantly, such a thing goes against the way the game was designed.

I think a couple of dungeons would be kinda fun. They can mix it up where after you run through it you use a summon scroll to get the Boss to spawn. Just saying my opinion. Take Xbox in a slightly new direction give us a few new features.

PC Version has darkrift bosses( for soloing), there was also instanced pve activity, where you have to stand Monster waves, build defences etc in 5man Team . But Realisation of this was a bit horrible

Dungeons is against a sandbox game. 

Wow was destroyed when they added battlegrounds for example and destroyed even more when people were able to enter battlegrounds through battleground finder from inside the city. 

This destroys open pvp and as a result it destroyed wow. 

Now wow is going to release classic wow with the most important flaw of the game battlegrounds. 

Open world pvp is the real deal. 

Why do you think people play survival games. It's the tension and adrenaline. 

Wow classic will fail again just wait and see.

How are "dungeons against a sandbox game"? Sandbox games are games where people/players create their own fun within a game and is a style of game in which minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, allowing the gamer to roam and change a virtual world at will. Dungeons only add to that. Design, gameplay structure, and implementation are some key factors for successfully pulling this off and any game. A fantasy world with no dungeons is lame. Why do you think most fantasy media have them? "Why do you think people play survival games. It's the tension and adrenaline."  So your saying you cant get the same feeling from your group almost getting wiped out on a dungeon floor from various variables and having to start over from floor one? Pearl Abyss just limited the gameplay for not wanting dungeons/group content in black desert. Hopefully Crimson Desert doesn't suffer from closed mindedness. Black Desert is a beautiful online game with none of the basics mechanics of MMORPGs in which why we play MMORPGs in the first place. MMORPGs are supposed to bring players online together to reach common goals. Whether it's to complete a dungeon, defeat open world bosses, farm for items/gear otherwise nearly impossible to do alone at a certain level, or to PvP, etc. "Open world pvp is the real deal." Yes the ability to do open world PvP is great but why just limit us to that and certain situations? Dungeons could add more situations where PvP (and PvPvE) would be more viable like waiting for the rest of the guild members to show up only to get ganked before the rest of the team gets there now there could be war/bad blood between the groups for the unwarrented conflict. Dungeon PvPing could enhance PvP altogether. You know people will be in the dungeons so at anytime it could be a gankfest in there. Playing an MMORPG that's focused on solo gameplay is boring to most people who play online games to play with other people whether its for PvP or group PvE content. They could add in towers and underground dungeons that doesn't interfere with the map layout/design. They should be adding more player choice content if this is a sandbox MMORPG. I know it takes alot of resources to make a game and dlc but why limit the world you want us to live our virtual lives in? More basic real world and fantasy elements are needed to flesh out the world. It's like they're reinventing something from scratch when they could just add to what's already there. Dungeons is a must for adventurers adventuring to explore. Why go adventuring? Wealth, loot, fame, to find and maybe face the unknown, etc all can be found in a dungeon! More stuff would need changing to pull off the MMORPG I plan to no life for the rest of my life like persistent guild buildings for major conflicting groups to attack because of an unwarrented death or disagreement.

Just my two cents. Everyone has they're own opinions and outlooks. I dont hate black desert but it could have been a better game in many aspects but that's due to the limitations of time and technology.
