If I wanted to cap at 49 for a while can I still get good gear from world bosses or nah? I mean I know I wouldn't get daily boss scrolls but what are the limitations of stay 49 vs going to 50. I only ask this question cause I was thinking about having one of my toons be capped at 49 so I can farm without getting ganked. I don't have a problem with PvP just wondering the pro and cons if I had a toon like this cause I'm new to BDO. I have a 47 wizard and 48 sorcerer.

My understanding is that staying at 49 forever is not viable...and his belt I’m 51, have been for a bit...and have not been attacked once. 

I think a lot of the more PvE players are getting ourselves worked up over nothing. Just take the dive, leveling again feels nice and there are 50+ only quests you are missing out on. 

Being 49 is viable. I stayed there until mediah launched and was in full +15 gear, witches and marks without the hassle of pvp. If mediah wasnt restricted to 51+ for the quest i could have cleared the story at 49. The end would have been a bit hard, not because of gear but because of the level difference and needing to hit the enemy. At 49 i can handle farming at all locations for asula(as ive tested it on a 49).

Your restrictions at 49 are.

Cant do media story.

Locked out of upgrading your dim offhand past 2 upgrades.

Cant get black abyss weapon or armor.

Cant upgrade dim armor.

No skill addons

No desert trade runs when released.

As for gear. Im in ultinate grunil +15 or better and ultimate offhand +15. Would have done main hand if not for black abyss weapon. You could easily break 330+ gear score without ever hitting 50

You can still do kzarka, though prolly easier if your at range. 

Also outside of a trade lifeskill, using a sub 50 for likeskills makes it easier to level fishing and training without fear of pvp

I was told that there are 50+ lifeskill quests though. Is that true?

 can answer that better then i can. Though lifeskilis are not level based other then desert trading that i know of. I mean the quest may say 51 or 52 but u can still do it. Like when i level an alt and get to far in the main story it says lvl 32(quest name) and im 26 doing it

Gotcha 

yes the Desert trade quest for Artisan 2 or Master 2 trade depending on which version we get is locked behind a level 56 quest. so in order to get the "desert" buff you have to have that trade level on a 56+ character. As for all the other quests, I have not seen any level restrictions just life skill level requirements.
