I am noticing less and less ‘Crowded’ status servers and the server list eaxh day I play.

Questions:

Did each server get a capacity increase?

Will PA reduce servers if they feel capacity lessens?(A PC player question)

Has the launch hype died down and the population is stabilizing?

Are people waiting on new content before they play again?

No doom and gloom here, I’m just wondering why I’m seeing less pop.

I'd assume that the population is stabilizing. 

and that we'll get a boost once the new classes hit.

Division 2's honeymoon phase is still ongoing (extended because of Anthem's screw-ups), and perhaps some of those folks will find their way over here down the line.

I also feel compelled to point out that outside of our population...there was no hype. I’m still boggled by the sheer lack of media attention on this launch. 

The more people find out pvp is forced at 50 the more people will leave,  not me though I'm staying through all the turmoil in can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Technically a 4 year old game, development since 2010? Even with the BD Remastered version for PC, PA was considering making a whole new game but decided on ‘Remastered’ (have to find that article).

I think the game is well known, little marketing needed. Even though it’s new to console, gamers know BDO and already have knowledge of what it is..and isn’t.

Even origional BDO didnt get alot of hype. Most people dont care about sandbox mmos

Problem is the forced PvP , I don’t kind it but there are people who think going to the store is too much .

i guess we will see but if RDR2 Online shows anything with current trend , we will be down to a handful of servers .

the game is beautiful and the controls are nice , so maybe they will come back .

Lol that's like 1% of people who are concerned about PVP. If anything, i believe ppl would enjoy MORE PVP. 

To address the point - It's going to be up-and-down with content releases (classes, regions, awakening..). Eventually population will seetle on some neat number. If Servers need to be reduced by then is up to PA. On PC we never got real reduction of servers, but certain servers had a function assigned which limited access - Arsha server for PVP with 50% Drop-Rate bonus, Olvia servers assigned for new and returning players (for certain period of time) with increased EXP Bonus etc. BD will certainly still be the Best MMO on Xbox, just some people will fluctuate between this and other FOTM releases.

Except BDO had a really good start on console , first month all the servers were crowded .

the hype was there from PC but we can’t compare the market . 

Besides that , BDO on pc had more jobs at launch too , even with the 4 new jobs , it still won’t have as many as Pc at launch

You are wrong on the percentage of people concerned by PvP .

Just to point out that PvE forcused MMOs have higher populations than PvP focused MMOs .

always have , always will .

The only reason Star Trek Online is still going is because it focuses on PvE but even worse makes the game largely soloable and little to no need to socialize .

Its mind boggling why STO isn’t dead but that shows you .

more people are casuals than hardcore anything .

Just a FYI , it’s friday , 3 servers max are crowded .

my guild died (100 members none are logging in)

hopefully PA will put a little , even if a tiny thought into these PvEers .

Empty servers are not fun for anyone

I know a few people waiting on the new classes and content before they really get back into playing. According to the Facebook page next week on April 4th the striker, dark knight, Lahn and Musa should be coming out we will see if it happens or not.

Just cause not Crowded /= Empty. Still plenty of people on spots / in cities.

I didn’t say the game is dead .

here is the thing : people like to Own at PvP , everyone does .

No one likes , no matter what you say , getting constantly grieved .

Personally if I have a bad night I do something else , but I grieved several self professed masters of PvP in Archeage to the point they reported me , or at least they said they did and I am the bottom of the barrel when it comes to PvP .

i enjoy it but I don’t live for it and it’s not all I want to do 

Common issue with PC is when people get to the PvP portion and on top of that start grinding for their sets .

Lesser Guilds and some Elite ones die over people burned out over the grind on top of not every class is balanced.

Heck , I am going to main lahn and I hear it sucks in group PvP .

not everyone wants to play the overly played few classes that do extremely well in PvP .

So to say the servers will empty over PvP is leaving out the many layers why .

a PVe server won’t fix balancing issues and grinding (which even plagues Korean PvE games )

americans in a whole are not the most focused people . (I am American)

thats why we have many different wars going on at the same time .

its like ice cream , many flavors of Real Life PvP

Which makes zero sense to me. Best genre out there...hell GTAV and Witcher are technically a sandbox MMO without the MMO. ?

Maybe in your circles but my fellow gamers (and they are mostly PC) are passionate, educated, and follow the market...one knew what BDO is. 

When I mentioned that crazy chats after creator they were like, “Oh it’s a Korean game, right?”  Lol

Like every game that is B2P with free updates this one will have, as someone already pointed out, spikes in population when new content comes out. People will try new classes, regions etc. Although a lot of 10$ people will keep playing you can expect that the main population consists of people who preordered bigger bundles as they are considered the most dedicated players ?

Every mmo to ever come out has always had a larger concurrent population at launch then it does after a month. People take time off for the first week or two to rush end game

I think that one gm must send one email survey to ask player interest on pvp. I hate pvp and me wife not play for forced pvp but its only my case.

Even if you dont pvp, there is plenty to enjoy in this game. I am 57 and dont pvp.  Should i quit too ?

you dont even lose anything if you die in PVP you respawn literally 30 seconds away from where you die too and if someone keeps killing you join a decent guild that will bakc you or simply change servers its not rocket science
