Im with Legion on this. I think they said yes in the heat of the moment but meant pvp only not pve

So they are releasing a PvE server BEFORE a PvP server BUT ARENT REMOVING KARMA?

Ill legit walk away from this game if they give scrubs a PvE server.. Open world pvp almost doesnt exist already, tons of players in Kzarka (and everywhere) sitting at 49, and karma is a crushing system BUT BRING OUT A PVE SERVER BECAUSE LIFE SKILLERS/AFKERS HAVE IT TO HARD.

Dont get all worked up fam im sure it was a mistake and they meant to say pvp server (arsha). If you watch the clip he is not really even paying attention.

Yep. I’m 99% sure he didn’t really even hear what he said himself. No reason to believe they would add a PvE server when there has never been one prior and there really is no need.

I want to PvP, but im in a guild with myself and 4 irl friends (so no node wars or GvG). RBF is fun, but 1 mode on 1 map doesnt really work for hours of enjoyment. Open world pvp doesnt exist they just have the karma system to tey and appease pvper because they are terrified of the back lash from completely removing it(id rather take a 24 or 36 hr ban instead of negative karma)

Left with really no feasible way to PvP with a group of 5. And not to mention you cant que as a group for RBF

The people who would play on the imaginary pve server wouldn't fight you now anyhow, so why worry. You just lose free ganks when they go.

It would show you how much you rely on them being there though, you would have to craft everything instead of grind and buy.

Even if they did open a pve server why would it affect you if you don't play on it? Calling lifeskillers scrubs is kinda harsh. They do supply a lot of the market and do a lot of work besides running in circles farming hotspots for high end drops. I have a lvl 49 lifeskiller, but also have an over 50. Some days people just like peace and quiet without worring about finding their character dead when they wake up because certain people and guilds don't care about bad karma. Just because it's open world pvp, doesn't mean people can't have some respect for other players. Sadly, that is something that is long gone in this generation and why people ask for so much pve. It's because people have turned into complete jerks. Also, they already nerfed karma penalty too much. These pkers need to suffer when they troll under geared people picking flowers, fishing or just trying to get their quests completed.

Well to be honest there plenty full pve games for you to play. Bdo has lot to offer but the main pie is pvp.....Its funny people so scared to go past lv49 becauae they dont want to die in a game were all you have to do is respawn swap servers its quite funny to me

you also get the asses that take your mobs when your trying to get a specific drop and you cant do anything to them they are the real scrubs that stay at 49 the only way to get rid of them is to out DPS even then most just stay out of pure retardedness thinking they can take your drops

They would most likely need to adjust how loot works on a pve server. The tag systen where everyone gets loot would work well and not who does the most damage. I honestly wish that it was this way on the pvp servers. Would probably be a lot less griefing as well. This causes a lot of issues where the strongest get stronger and richer while the newer people, poor and lesser geared people end up at quite a disadvantage and sadly end up quitting the game out of frustration.

I did say I have an over 50. I wasn't speaking for myself, but about the whole community in general that wouldn't mind having a pve server. A lot of mmos do this. Pvp, pve, rp etc., so they can play how they like. The question is, why would it affect hardcore pvpers if they don't even play on the pve server? It wouldn't even matter.

If it was marketed as pve game i could understand but thats not the bdo so i dont understand the push for it. You know some on pc pushed for it when bdo first arrived but it wasnt the vision for bdo so this just feels like da ja vu all over again. First was ghillie suits, then artisan memories, next complaint will be how overpowered striker is and the list goes on. Same story different platform. One thing i like about the pearl abyss team they stick to what they want. Could you imagine if they gave into everything people requested?? Would be a mess.

Sorry for going off topic. Just add a Hardcore PVP Server get rid of the karma system just on that hardcore server. Leave all other servers as is they are, working as intended. Should be relatively easy/cheap to implement.

You are conflating SERVER and CHANNEL in MMO terms.

In most other MMOs a SERVER is a unique instance of the world where that character exists with other people who play on that instance, but cannot freely move to another SERVER (unless paid for or by some other means, but overall not occurring on a regular or repeatable basis.)

BDO has a server cluster or CHANNEL system, where the total accessible play space exists across multiple instances at once that can be freely switched between (short of a 15 minute delay timer).

Even a PvP server(channel) in BDO is nothing more than another instance that players can switch in and out of, returning to a karma-protected PvX(E) channel.

A PvP server implies that the VAST majority of leveling, farming/gathering, etc takes place in an instance where players can attack each other without penalty. Even Arsha is just of way of sweeping open world/player-driven PvP further away from the core of the game/community in an attempt to remove it from the PvX(E) game experience as a whole.

I 100% would support splitting into a PvP server cluster and a separate PvE server cluster, but adding a PvE channel would have no point and show the direction PA wants to take the xbox release.

As a lumber Jack in real life Id prefer on in trent.

I just really like Tarif. it's got better houses than Altinova. for that matter, I'd really rather than just fix Altinova housing more than anything else.

I hate running to altinova from sausans even though you can use storage at kusha. Still didnt figure if running to veila or altinova is faster lol

I agree and would also explain why the stream wasn’t up to be viewed right away and on twitch it has none of there past streams anymore. I do find with there streams there doing to much at once which is why this slip happened

also there’s plenty of CM as is I don’t feel we need additional, they didn’t do it on pc won’t happen here same as this BS on PvE servers it won’t happen.
