I've had this recurring issue since launch where I AFK something on auto loop and when I wake up in the morning my I'm just standing there either off my horse, with a trade pack, or next to my wagon. There is no message that the controller is no longer connected like you would normally see if you disconnect a controller. When you turn the controller on, it is completely unresponsive. No amount of removing the batteries, turning on and off will get BDX to recognize I have a controller connected. The normal XB functions work fine. I can navigate to the home screen and do anything outside of BDX. The only way I have found to recover is to quit the game from the home screen.
Things I have noticed that I think may be related:
- at times as I am running over large areas of land I get a brief loading screen. When this happens I am dismounted. Sometimes my mount or wagon is down the street a ways. The controller is still connected and working. I am wondering what happens when you get one of these brief loading screens while in game and your controller isn't connected.
- I also feel like this may have something to do with manually turning off the controller. I usually do this at night so it could just be coincidence. I will let the controller automatically turn itself off and see.

When my controller goes dead like this the only way that solves the issue is to hard reset BDX..
I'm EU, Xbox One X
Haven't seen this myself, but agree with previous post on solution. If there's "no message that the controller is no longer connected", it sounds like an Xbone issue, not a BDO issue.

Nah, this is client's issue. Never happened to me in any other game on my one X.
my controller still gets disconnected in the middle of action.. and it's nothing to do with the controller, it's the game, and they haven't fixed it yet since i reported it back in March..
