So I’m pretty new to Black Desert so this might sound nooby but how do your stats work I’ve seen strength and health so far but is there like limits to how high you can level or can you just level all your stats indefinitely. An example would be if there is just like a pure strength and then you won’t be able to do anything to agility. Kinda like skill points?

BDO has no lvl cap so technically you can go as high as you can and presume this apply's to your skill points as well but be prepared not only to grind 24/7 and wiggle whit your Master card to get certain things but be prepared to sell your soul to "Pearl Abyss" I presume same is for skill points as they kind off go hand in hand with grinding to get them and you will need a lot of them, regarding HP/Breath/Wight increase not sure I think its L35 but not sure on that .. as of gear I sadly cant say much on as I mostly was running around in Grunil and its not the best in slot for that there was Boss Gear but to get that and enchant that be prepared to sell your friends soul cuz getting it is not that hard its the enchantment that will enslave you.

Didn't mean to say that as even I don't consider it p2w by saying Master Card I meant to get pets certain costumes for crafting and some other things that would help make some parts of the game a bit easier but def. not p2w

No tf you wont lmao grinding will take forever picking up the loot the mobs drop by hand trust me I did it for 2 weeks and it slowed down grinding and made making money harder you need 5pets everything else it's up to you but pets is a must buy if you want to be able to grind/make money efficiently but sometimes PA will be nice and give you some discount codes for pets ect or give you a free pet for logging in... if BDO Xbox was out for a year or so you could snipe 5 pets off the market like I did lol but yo luck has to be off the charts to win it

like I said its more a convenience than p2w but you are mistaken  you dont need to buy them yes it will slow the player down but its not that of a big issue than again it depends on the individual it self as I played on RU Servers with out any pets/outfits or packs just utilized the events the game had that time and I still managed to play it decently tho will agree on one thing weights did bother my a lot that would be the only thing I sort off did want to get.

P2W is being able to buy items with better stats that give you advantage in a fight. What you are talking about is just speeding up grinding time etc.

An example of P2W is being able to buy a weapon/armor that has better stats than anything you can get in game. Or locking classes behind a price.

health/strengeth/stamina go to lvl 40 30 is the softcap, you can level forever but once you hit 62 it slows down a lot at the current build

So to recap on the leveling all the stats to let’s say a beserker are identical if all are maxed out correct but he only way it’ll be unique would be the skills. Let’s just say the cap is 30 on all and 2 berserkers get there nothing special between them other than I guess what type of skills they have on. Because I’m guessing there aren’t unique items or unique specs

You could be the same level and have hundreds of less skill points, it depends on how much you grinded on the former content

Example one zerker played at launch and grinded hundreds of hours when soft cap was 56 then another zerker grinds when soft cap is 60, the zerker who grinded at 56 soft cap will have a lot more skill points, but yeah if they started at the same time only difference would be gear and what points they spent them on if they played the same amount of time and grinded the exact same.

I think that's what you meant but idk

yup u get skill point xp and regular lvl xp from fighting stuff but u can get lvl xp from doin other things like crafting and fishing but they dont count towards the skill bar xp.

fitness skills (breath, strength, and health) max out at lvl 50 i think someone said. im only at lvl 31 in breath so i havent hit the cap yet but honestly they dont give tons of stats so u shouldnt focus on them until u finish everything else or are going afk (assuming they keep the afk mechanics that are on the pc). at strength lvl 19 i only get 27 more pounds weight limit increase. breath seems to have the biggest impact on my guy giving 510 stamina at lvl 31. my guy only has 1510 stamina so that accounts for 1/3 of his total stamina pool which is a lot in my case. other classes will have tons more im sure.

as for regular lvls there isnt an official cap. folks were grinding for a year many hours a day just to hit lvl 62 and be labeled the highest lvl player in the game.

Disagree. i wont be fine without paying. the only acceptable time to spam "R" is when im butchering, NOT when im looting the corpses of 50 dead sausans! i mean really, its way too grindy and time consuming. im not talking about customs, although some are p2w, but the current shop items are life savers (literally)

I have a question about leveling. Take a wizard for example. Once I earn enough skill points (or whatever), I can either learn a new power (such as lightning) or increase a power (such as lowering cast time). Does the game max out whereas I can only upgrade Powers A, B and C and never learn/unlock D? Or will I be able to learn all of the powers AND increase them all to their max?

You can endlessly gain skill points for unlocking higher tiers of skills (theoretically maxing a class is possible ) but you will eventually reach a softcap on SP making them harder and harder to obtain. Alot like leveling. For example there are thousands of players at lvl 62, maby 200 at 63, and 3-4 that have reached 64 total.

Things get exponentially harder as you progress but there is no cap.

Whew! Good to know! I was worried that if I always invested in dp powers (lightning, fireball, etc) I may never get to upgrade others (heals, decrease casting time, other passives). Thanks for the answer!

For wizzard:

Youll want to focus on maxing out your teleport : lightning / residual : fireball  /explosion : healing lighthouse : your self speed buff :  sages memory : meteor : and blizzard + ultimate blizzard.

If your going to do node / guild wars max protected area (everyone will love you for it).

If we get world bosses and you have extra CP go for multiple magic arrows - you can spam this from safe range for massive damage.

You can also grab your passives (i think cast speed if i remember right) if everything else is maxed and you have extra CP.

Other than that dont waste your points on any other skills.

If you find your going out of mana quickly you can get rank 2 of your mana drain also (mainly for spamming MMA).

Once you awaken youll go fully into your awakened kit and only need your healing lighthouse, your Reblam heal, your teleport, and possibly ult blizzard leveled from the un-awakened kit.

Should save ya some headache in there
