Hello,

new to black desert online, I played it about a year and a half ago on pc for a tiny bit as I had a 7 day subscription trial, playing it on xbox now and enjoying it so far, I created a witch at the start (lv 37) then I came to realise wiz/witch are pretty underpowered classes to use in pvp (or very hard to use) I’ve been testing all the classes so I have all my slots filled but I’ve recently been playing a lot of Lahn (lv 42) and she’s amazing and so satisfying to use but I was watching a video on YouTube for some tips and a guy mentioned a good way to make money is to make a character souly based around life skills such as cooking , gathering, alchemy etc he said to get as many grain nodes as you can, so I was just wondering should I make a separate class from my Lahn for specific life skilling and use my Lahn for a pvp/boss char?

I have a combat class and a lifeskill class but this is only because my combat class is my Lahn who was just released. I spent alot of the waiting time for the Lahn leveling and playing a sorc who is now my lifeskiller. This is by choice because i started day 1 and didnt want the time to go to waste.

As a newer player though u could use your Lahn for everything(combat and lifeskills). There are only 2 lifeskills u might consider for a sub 50 character but that is all your choice. Those would be training(so u can freely afk level a horse) and fishing( if u want to fish all around the world without possible pvp).

If you want trading at some point I think it's still 56 to get the quests for the desert buff, past that you dont have to pass 49 unless you hate the level up spam.

If you want to invest heavy into life skills pick one character as your life skiller.You need a lot of inventory space and weight so you save money by putting them all on one character.Also you will only have to buy the pearl shop life skill costumes once too.

I would also suggest that you don’t do the black spirit quest that allows you to become level 50 so you can be safe while fishing etc.

The only life skill that your other characters should do it gathering.

For life skill characters depends what tape of life skills you do.

Ranger is nice for move speed

I do not remember ATM but one of class got weight bonus I think for processing

You could keep one of characters at lvl 49 for " safe" trade packs movement and tag later for characters lvl 56+ for desert bonus

I jeard musa would be the best life skill class because of his dashes.

I have a witch and I will stay with it...

This is what I did. I can make my higher lvl do trading, but sure like to lifeskill in peace....lol. I know it's good to grind lifeskills on several characters, but just going to worry about one main for the time being. It's a very long grindy process especially on console with only one account and shutting down at night.
