My opinion is that the damage is way too low for pvp especially. A sorc with half my gear hardly took damage from me. Anyone else have an honest opinion on this?

I play a Lahn and at lvl 55 and gs 385. I have to agree with you. The Lahn needs insane accuracy to even be viable, over 300. She is extremely hard to control due to the amount of movement she makes with skills. Her self healing skills need a look as well, 3 hp replenishment on a good hit is nothing. Getting 2 shot in pvp with 240 dp as a melee class is rediculous.

Lahn pre-awk sucks lol. After awk they are decent!

I agree with you all. But with awakening being so guarded on release date. I feel like we are getting shafted as lahns. Stuck with be worthless until awakening. Does not make sense to me.

Well with awakenings your still worthless in everything except 1v1s lol

I do alright as Lahn, but I feel like I gotta try way harder than the other person. I'm really looking forward to our awakening, as we seem to even out a little.

Lahn + boss = disaster... (lv 53 Lahn, 300GS)

I honestly haven't had any issues with Lahn. You just need to gear towards accuracy. So getting Red Coral rings, getting marks, witches all tri is very important. You need Bheg gloves and Kzarka, need to tri those asap. Need dim tree belt as well. Lahn is in no way weak just gear dependent and accuracy dependent. 

Most of the Lahn most used skills are in awakening. This class also high skill ceiling.

p.s: You may think you're not doing damage but really you don't have enough accuracy. 

I have a 56 lahn, 420gs and pretty decent accuracy.  I wreck in pve but pvp is a different story. She suffers pre awakening but will change after awakening. If u can hit with stuns and knockdowns u have the ability to wreck in pvp but she is not a class that should try and go toe to toe with others. She is a ganker and an opportunist. 

If they plan to have awakenings by June and want people to enjoy pre awakening time then i agree she needs a little more utility in pvp fights, be it different addons or better utility in general.

ok i dont want to dissuade anyone from a class because if you like the playstyle power to you and you can probably find a way to make it work

but expecting lahn to be things it isn't is just gonna end in sorrow. lahn is never going to be more than a ganky high mobility high cd stamina dependent class. it's not a brawler, it's not a group fighter, it's a scout that can jump in and down smash a lot and then run away. grinding is above average but not top tier.

Yeah I can agree to this wholeheartedly... I play a Lahn and I'm not fond of the pre awakening. She's decent for clearing mobs when her awakening is released though. I've done a good amount of pvping with Lahn awakening and it's super fun and all and the skills are great to look at but I got smashed by EVERY CLASS I tried to pvp in the arena. And this was me using a crap ton of accuracy accessories , weapons etc etc. she's just too squishy for one, and dmg output is past poor.  im just playing her until Valkyrie releases and as much as I want to wreck some kids right now I cannot lol. I'm 400 gs and still die  but I put up a fight!!!

This statement applies only pre-awakening. But please yes. Scare people away because I don't want people playing this character when awakening comes out!

Im all for scaring people away lol. More Lahn loot for me hehehe. But on a more serious note, Lahns do require more dedication then some other classes and have a particular end game play style. Right now people just see a weed wacker on steroids which, dont get me wrong is always fun, isnt exactly how she plays late game.

No, it applies to lahn. Nothing fundamentally changes with awakening vis a vis other classes. I have no problem with people playing the class but you shouldn’t misrepresent it. 

If you insist, you can always point out what specifically I said doesn’t apply with awakening. 

Does the class become desirable in sieges? Does it become more useful in group fights? Does it stop being a scout that is relegated to running in and out of encounters?

Nope, sorry.

the only thing that awakening brings is more 1v1 capability, which is fine if that’s all you care about.

Pretty much this. After awakenings just good 1v1, not wanted seige, group fights meh, animations too slow, but the flying is cool

So your basically saying they need a serious review for both pre and post awakening

This post like any other complaining about their class before even getting all of their class is just dumb. As well as anyone complaining period. All the classes in bdo our great and made for different things. Pick a class that plays to your preferred playstyle. Dont pick a playstyle and expect them to change the class to match it. Thats just stupid. This aint eso.

Well this is what you get when the CMs on livestream tell people to come to the forums with issues or reasons why class A or class B might need a change(buff or nerf).  Im made my points, but also stated i do understand alot of the balance issues get addressed with awakenings and i understand what Lahn is used as. I have no misconceptions of trying to make Lahn into a different class. She is a niche class that works in certain situations and i cant wait to have fun doing it

Um.. I kill most people i meet with my Lahn, but then i guess i massively outgear them. Overall i find it easy to keep people just down on the ground for infinite amounts of time, but the DMG could be better. Just bear with the class, it will get so much better with Awa

I've done quite well in PvP as a Lahn. With all of that frontal guard on attack, she's able to trade with anyone who doesn't have a grab and come out on top easily. But you must be very decisive with your attacks and be sure that it will hit, or else you'll often get a long animation that misses embarrassingly and is punished easily. 

I find it's always best to let others make the first move. I back step to block while I prepare to time an fg attack in between their moves. Generally feels like only good grapplers and good ranged players counter me well.

I sit in the arena quite often and beat a lot of people as a Lahn, but a decent ranger, zerker, or warrior comes along and I can get smashed. Our moves are multi-hit so we get whiff punished very hard if we miss, because her animations kinda drag out. Also, the build up is slow. I fought an absolute spud zerker and all he did was down block till he could grab chain. I could get behind him, but he could rotate his camera before the move came out with +5 attack speed. It was such a corny way to fight, but he beat me like that. Ofc, he'll be screwed when we have a grab, so he's not helping himself. Still, was annoying to lose to something so dumb.

Honestly, I think awakening will solve the problems I have with the class. A few of our cd's are way too long and should be halved. Spring breeze having collision limits it pretty bad, because even if you flip the camera 180 degrees you get caught on what you try to escape at times. Our dmg isn't incredible. Our healing is lackluster, but assassin type class, so that's expected. Also, I know she can fly, but mobility is a little weak right now. I love the class and will play it till the game dies, but her preawakening is a little underwhelming.
