Server: All I actually tried on each server. Current screenshots are from Calpheon-3. Region is NA. 

Location: Velia Inn (Tavern) 

Items required: Dark Beer and/or Rum. (Purchasable by chef npc) 

NPC(s):

Villagers-Small 2 of them.

Speak to mowhawk small villager on left. Select Ask about the foreigners in Balenos. (Requires 3 Energy and 1 Dark Beer.) A middle menu to select the person you want to talk about appears with no way to select Chuck Laurie from the middle popup menu. 

Speak to small hooded villager next to small mowhawk villager and select option Ask about the Residents of Velia. (Requires 3 energy and 1 dark beer) There is also no way to select from the villagers in the middle popup menu. 

You are able to close the pop-up menu by pressing the B button. I've tried many various ways to get to the middle menu but unable to do so.
