It has gotten way to out of control we don´t want to see people arguing with eachother and swearing in global chat the racism/sexual talk/ excessive swearing/harassment in the server chat has to go. We are asking you nicely to please fix this issue.

Easy fix: Hire a new GM and put him/her in charge of this issue. Give those ppl instant ban... done.

While I agree the chat can get ugly at times. Do we really need another thread on this? There are two others always at the top of the page... But they don't have a poll I suppose... 

Just give us the option to filter chat to channels we choose. The racism and idiot stuff will always be there. Stop complaining about it. You can never fix it. Its in ever game ever invented. Even if they censor words theyll just find a round about way to do it. Content filter needs to go or be toggable also. Stop censoring me. Ima grown man. 

If they make it like pc where you can just see guild and general or combat thatd be great. Also add the dang RP chat channel so i dont have to see it in world chat anymore 

We have two threads on this. 7 pages total. None of them help given the CMs aren’t locking them or providing any meaningful resolution to the issue. And most likely, this thread will grow with the same back and forth instead of a CM doing their job and consolidating repeating topics down to one thread or finally locking them all with a proper response with a release date on when the Chat will have filters we can use.

PA wont fix the chat , people are talking about ethnic cleansing groups of people based off skin color , religion , and sex .

PA only cares about money, 

they wont Make a block feature as it would make toxic people lonely and kill revenue , 

they don’t ban people because it would kill revenue .

this is why PA didn’t include Gamertag in with your character name , because MS would ban people and it would hurt revenue 

i voted to fix it but I won’t hold my breath , I like living

You are wrong they will fix chat soon! U can read it in the now locked "daylie racism tread" what CM wrote there! They working on some tools for fighting the toxic chat also BANS!!

You need to come to terms with the fact that a very large number of our species are irredeemable douche bags. Once you do it becomes easier to ignore the chat. 

There is nothing about chat that can't be fixed with turning it off. Can chat be gross? Yes. Offensive? Heck ya. Do we need ppl  band because of speach? No. We are adults we can ignore it. 

Not sure why I have to ignore everybody because of a few assholes. ‘Turning off chat’ is a non-solution. May as well just tell people to not play.

We just need to be able to select an option to hide server chat and still be able to see guild,party, and general chat.

This is the world we live in I agree, I can ignore the trash when it comes around. It doesn't bother me. What does bother me is you can see the potential of the community. You see it get burried by irrelevant garbage being spewed by some players. If you've played other mmos, you may know how pleasant and mature channels can be. Now im all for competive smack talk amongst guilds and pvpers. Maybe what we need is more selections for chat. A pvp/competive one. General chat(it's current semi lewd state), another for those posing questions or those willing to share their knowledge, and anything else the community feels we need. This is nothing new. I feel like this is a better solution. Swinging the ban hammer is just a band aid, one which you will consistently apply over and over again. 

Hmm. Multiple topics on this and really it all comes down to one word for me: spam.

Spam is basically communication which we would rather choose not to receive. Chat, guild and node war notifications, maybe even boss notifications... 

I would like to at least have options in the settings tabs to choose what I want and don't want to receive.

Wouldn't mind resizing or repositioning or reorganising some of the interface too, somehow. 

I'd even like to choose whether to enable or disable the profanity filter, ***uming it's even possible.

Block and report is essential in this day and age where cyber bullying can and has lead to perilous consequences. A lot of it is about parental guidance and supervision of course, but even 40-somethings can get trapped by blackmail and other forms of indirect abuse. While triggering someone might seem funny a lot of the time, we do know that it's not always fun for the victim, especially if they just came to fish and relax after a crappy day at college, perhaps, dealing with other little s*its in person for 7 hours straight.

All in all, spam and interface customisation would be nice.

Block and report functions are essential and Pearl Abyss could apologise for overlooking this. I've already mentioned that Microsoft are not happy with PA's performance to date. Chat moderation,  done properly, is becoming an ever-demanding duty, a crucial aspect and indeed a responsibility of contemporary gaming now. 

It's easy to call someone a snowflake. We're only human. That's part of the problem. It can also be part of the solution.

Just my opinion.

PA...might want to go read Microsoft’s updates to their community standards. They spell out what’s acceptable and what’s not. Guess where your game’s chat falls? Hope you get it fixed soon, else MS might do it for you.

Are PA even reading this forum or even this topic anymore? Will they listen to their customers anymore? 

I reported this product to Microsoft and asked for full refund , just awaiting they response. The racist comments and cyber bullying has been not addressed.
