Looking for some serious critique of the two classes without the “play what you like” BS line. I’m interested in both and would be over 550, so curious to anyone who plays either class of the benefits and pitfalls.
I’d be actively NWing and doing Siege so that will heavily sway me versus straight pve.
I’ve played both to 57, so a bit more curious on how they feel and perform at that GS at 60-61.Nox VidMate Mobdro
So far striker basically seems easy to use and sorc seems clunky, but mostly cuz I’m not comfortable with the cancels yet and don’t have flows on either.
Would really appreciate

if you plan to get to 60-61 then we should think about awakenings of these classes as they are likely coming before you reach 61 (scheduled to come before June 30th).
Striker awakened is good in PvP (good tankiness and burst capabilities) but mediocre in PvE - no bias here. I'm a striker heading to 58 and I will be maining him until mystic comes out and I know for a fact that grinding with awakened striker is a little clunky compared to other, more agile classes. I don't mind it though as it suits my play style.
Sorc, the opinion is that she is a very good grinder and PvP assassin once awakened but also very difficult to master. one of the hardest even.
Comparing unawakened sorc and striker, I think that, with proper spirit shard management, Wolf's Fang oriented striker is stronger than sorc.
Post awakening is the only thing worth considering longtime.
Sorc is high risk high reward you'll die if caught in a cc in nodes and sieges, it's a hard class to play to a high level and takes a fair amount of gear at the top end.
Striker is easier to pickup and does more with less gear, the skill comes from super armor rotating and takes some mastering however nowhere near as difficult as sorc and is more forgiving in nodes/sieges.
If you have a ton of time to invest in learning and gearing sorc is really rewarding, if you enjoy striker and have a little less time or just want to feel less restricted in sieges/nodes then striker is solid
