When going out of a menu like inventory or profile, there’s a 1 to 3 second delay in regaining back control of your character.
This is a really crucial issue because, there was an instance where I defeated a few enemies in an area, then when to check on my inventory for items that I’ve picked up only for enemies to instantly spawn on me. I would’ve successfully escaped, but I couldn’t because of the delay in regaining control of my character. I essentially stood still and died.
Some times it happens after talking with npc

Yes, I hope that this gets fixed by launch
Hopefully it will be fixed also on the XBox version. The delay is existing since release in the XBox version and hasn't been fixed since month here.

It’s really surprising that a bug like this was transferred over. Are the devs really incompetent..?
This is a VERY annoying bug. I was killed like this twice +_+

I feel you this bug is absolutely dreadful.

I do not think it's a bug. It seems more, it is related directly to the poor optimized game engine and the console limitations. On the normal XBox, the delay is noticeable longer than on the XBox One X with more power and memory. For me it seems like a memory leak or something related. Also clearing the XBox game cache from time to time will minimize the delay time.
Since this "feature" is exsiting since the beta on XBox, I don't expect it will not be solved in short term.

You will learn to live with it ?

Oh boy, I guess I’ll have no choice

For what we had on PS4, most of my bugs seemed too like coming from memory leaks.
PC version isn't exempt either of this problem, but the sheer size of the game world (and the 3D engine used) explain in part why this is hell to "fix".

Oh boy, well one way or another I hope they somehow get this sorted out.
