I hope so. I just ordered one for external on my base ps4 just for this game. I've read it helps quite a bit for xbox for loading screens, horse riding and textures in town.

Found this video on YT among many others. 

A friend and I are using a SSD in our PS4 Pro and another friend is on a normal HDD. There is definitely a noticable difference in many games, including BDO.

  And hdd wasn't the fastest you can use... and more and more but it will visualize what it will cure in this game. There is a lot of videos with performance mesures on PS4 but none wil visualize ingame loading of npc's

I ordered an enclosure today to house an older 2.5 inch SSD that I replaced on my computer.  It should help specifically with pop up.

I've literally just bought a 250 gb Samsung t5 for my xbox one x specifically for BDX. Boy I must say, the textures render in no time. Overall load speed makes  gameplay smoother and I'm eager to say that even FPS benefits from it as well.

I was on the fence today of buying a SSD internal drive for 89.99. 500gb..

However is it that much if a difference?

I only wonder cause I current am using a Ps4 pro. I just cant decide if it would make enough difference to buy it or not?

Few people I asked said yes and some said nope..

Thoughts?

This generation is not yet for you to feel the differences significantly. It's like 4k on ps4 pro hahahahah. By mounting the ssd drive you will get 5-10 seconds of loading. A sip of beer

Yea that's what I kind of figured also. I'll prob just install it on my external western digital wdbkuz0040bbk-ua HHD for now. That might be a tad better then the ps4 pro one.

Weird. I played the beta on my ps4 pro and I didnt have any issues. It ran really good. 

 Yoy will feel it only when a lot of npcs or playesr appers near to you. For example in Kalpheon  When you moving there it was 3-5 seconds delay to reload all npc's near you. I saw that so i decide to buy ssd before start.

Hmmm... now you got me wondering if I should get a SSD lol... I mean idk.. I saw people not render fully a few times. But that was beta. Not optimised version yet.

Now I'm in the fence for ssd or not.

I wonder if getting a ssd would change anything since BDO is a server game?

Server no. For loading screen yes

So I broke down and bought one. After a few hours I got it up and running. Tried it with a few games and I di notice a difference. Some small some big. 

I'd say with my money lol..

I want to keep loading screens and pop ins to a minimum while sprinting on my mount to world bosses. Not to mention node wars, red battlefield loading screens, NPC's, and gankers creeping on my grind rotations.

If my PS4 slim can't handle it I'll probably bite the bullet and get a pro but darn, PS5 is inching closer and would rather wait it out.

I hear you on that. I got the 500gb SSD for 74.99 on sale at best buy. So far with a few games I've tested makes a big difference. I'm hyped for black desert!

Now to just get my old butt up early tomorrow to get the name I want LOL
