There is a mining node right above Heidel.

You'd do well to stop thinking about this simply as a PS4 game and looking for PS4 specific information.
The game has been out on PC for years. Using Google to search for "BDO" + whatever you want will find what you need faster than these forums. I promise you.

I tried that but the PC version for iron ore location is where copper ore is located in ps4. To many times I tried to Google and ran into dead ends. Not everything in PC is in ps4 bdo.

Inside a cave west of Velia following the coast. There you'll find two iron ores and copper.

this is a good site to get a basic Idea of where to find them.  The map shows all of the node locations along with what can be farmed by workers, but where your farmers can get the ore, there are normally a lot of gathering spots for it in the same area.  It's been my go too site when I'm searching for materials.

Your issue might be that there is a Copper and Iron ore location right outside Heidel. It is where you do the mission for the dwarf just before you arrive in Heidel. To send a worker to mine the iron ore just r1 or l1 until the iron ore logo pops up. Also you may need to invest in both mining nodes or at least the proper one. I have workers there all the time mining.

The ps4 map IS an exact copy of pc so yes just googling bdo + iron node will show u exactly where to get it. If ur looking at a node u think is just copper check the nodes contribution tab n see if there are multiple mining parts because some spots ie northern heidel quarry has 2 mining conts. 1 copper 1 iron and if u want u can contribute both nodes and send 2 workers to that location to mine both. 1 worker for copper and 1 for iron. However u cannot send 2 workers to say iron.

This node has both copper and iron, you need to invest CP into correct resource.
