I'm sure a lot of people have US based PSN accounts but don't actually reside in the states. If it's possible, please consider allowing us to choose between EU and NA when creating a character (like ESO does). Or at least show us the location of the current NA servers so those of us overseas can choose between the east and west cost depending on where they're from. Ping is a big deal in this game and I'd like to be able to optimize mine as much as possible.
That isn't how PSN and Sony work. They don't let devs just switch up regions like the EU and NA. If you want to play on NA servers then you need a NA account, like all online games on PSN
Well you can swap between EU and NA with ESO as False did mention. So yes it should be possible I would think.

ESO completely restructured its network for Megaservers on all platforms. It was done to help load and performance for those in one region. The ability for an EU player to connect to a NA Megaserver is a bonus but doesn't improve ping.
Maybe I shouldn't have said "all" but it still remains true for how it works for most online games on console. Console IDs are region locked.
As far as connecting to a server for better ping in BDO. If you are in NA, EU, or SEA the servers are all still on Korea.
Ahh ok, looks like I’ve misinterpreted info about the PC/Mac version which does physically have Megaservers in Texas and Germany with the authentication handled in the US. What you say about the PSN network makes sense.
cheers!
