My friend was party leader and had failed the quest to summon and defeat Giath (lvl 7 quest) because he died during a node war (we weren't aware there was one at the time and a player killed him and it failed the quest. Kind of weird but ok). He reaccepted it via black spirit then we went back and he could not summon the boss. He dropped the quest yet again and afterwards the spirit did not offer the quest back to him. Things he has tried:

- viewing the quest log, going to said location, and trying to use the summon scroll via inventory. Nothing happens. 

-adjusting his position around the marked area and using the scroll, nothing happens. 

-talking to black spirit, no quest available via it. 

-logging out and closing the game entirely choosing a different non crowded server, even rebooting system, nothing happens. 

Anyone know what the heck is going on? He would like to complete his questlines but this game seems against it. Thanks in advance.

I've personally had the same thing happen and I had to abort the mission and I lost the scroll Make sure to submit a ticket and inquire if you can have your item replaced.
