I'm not sure, but it feels as if the camera is almost always facing my direction of travel.

I would love to have that disabled so that I set the angle and direction of view and it pans whichever direction I move, particularly in combat.

A hot key to go back and forth would be super neat, like Super Mario World on N64

Were you able to work the camera out with Lipty's suggestion?

No, I'd like to be able to see the front of me when i attack or whichever angle I choose and it keep that angle

So, I play Musa and I have no aerial attacks, I have no reason to aim.  I just move in the general direction of the enemy and slash.

Ok, when I press R1 repetitively and turn R3 left or right it changes angle then attacks.

However, if you hold down any combination of buttons for attacking, it keeps camera placement directly behind the avatar.

Here is a picture with an explanation and its a pretty basic one, I'd like to pick my camera angle and have it stay there.

So, here it goes, picture 1, Avitar facing forward.  Now I like this angle, but here's where it gets screwed.  I want to back up, so I would push forward on L3.

And he turned around, which for classes that are hand to hand and no aim, then camera placement could be totally detached from aiming.  As aiming in this pvp/pve is based on character direction based on movement of the Left thumbstick.

Think PS4 D3 with any camera angle you want, and R3 is your camera angle adjustment.  How would that work?  Well, we use button combinations in this game and blizzard didn't.

The center of the screen could be used looking at/interacting with npc's.  The other option for interaction is like the combat description, who are you facing, instead of who are you looking at.

All in all, I would totally enjoy my camera not adjusting itself at all.  Lastly, is there any way we can stop the camera from zooming in when something gets between us and our POV?

Last picture to clarify.

You can play this game top down and it looks super good except that it is way too close like that, you can play first person view, that could make use of a wide angle FOV, sure it distorts the image, but honestly the window given is super small.

Last thing, can we have an option to turn off NPC, Pet, Player and Monster names, or atleast have them disappear after a short amount of time.

The names above everything all the time detracts from the game.

Thank you

So, changed camera to auto and I really enjoy it with vertical sensitivity turned all the way down and horizontal set mid-high.  I think some range of movement other than directly behind would look pretty awesome when attacking.

...id really really like to disable the auto adjustment on the vertical axis...

Every time i start and stop it drops the angle

Ah ha!

So, i figured out how the camera works.  If you adjust the horizontal axis on tbe right thumbstick by pushing left or right it resets the timer on the auto adjustment for the vertical axis.

So, during combat, when looking around even slightly makes it function flawlessly.  As soon as sheath your weapon, the auto adjustment timer on the vertical axis starts and changes your POV.

Lastly, when you auto run it does not change the camera angle whatsoever, which is a very nice one indeed.

So there is no actual camera standard in this game as combat, avatar auto-run, auto-run: horse, wagon; differ greatly as the camera does not have consistent variables.  This leads to confusion and the game loses fluidity, which is a seamless transition.

This is easily overlooked, as nearly no one takes the time to think of the aspects, angles and what effect it has on the game and its playability.

All aspects and views should be decent if not good, but should be consistent regardless of movement or actions.

...this... this was a hard one guys

Imagine the top of the screen being the event horizon, now find half the distance between you and the horizon.  Make a line.  Now, tilt forward the camera angle till that line is at the top of the screen.
