Hi people,

as i mentioned in the Title this post is about the "Story of Cron Castle" Quest.

It want me to go to the altar of Cron Castle to learn more about the secret of this beautiful castle.

I already had the knowledge about the castle of cron and also about the nodemanager there.

So when im autopathing, it leads me always back to Tachros in Velia ( I think he is the quest giver). There I can neither complete the quest, nor continue it or achieve something... Also tried to build up amity.. I'm now at 1000 amity to Tachros but nothing happens.

You cant abort the quest and restart it again.

Can someone help out?

You can try and go to the woman in Calpheon at the valkyrie academy and buy the knowledge "fall of cron castle". If you cannot buy it from her anymore, you can try to reset the knowledge through her and rebuy the knowledge afterwards. Maybe that helps!

Yep I have had this same issue since day 1.

Theres another one that is the same way in the calpheon area, it is one in a consec series like cron’s and cannot be deleted or completed.

I’m not in game at the moment and cannot remember the name..

Sooo many hopes and possibilities, but SOOO much bugged, lacking, incomplete, or just out right con/sham.

Sadly A shame.

That is too bad.  For me. I turned on my life skill quests and I was able to complete this quest.  I also had the knowledge before picking up the quest.

hmm still a problem, all quests activated, relogged - nothin happens

i may be wrong but i think this part of the quest is you have to kill the scouts, there is a few of them before going into the castle area i had to kill a few of them be4 it dropped though

I've completed this quest several times but only after I complete the quests "Occupied Cron Castle" and "The Power of Cron Castle". Never been able to complete it before these quests and I usually end up doing these quests after finishing the Calpheon main questline. I'm usually around level 50 and on my way back to Veila to store gear for any new class I might make. Have no idea when those two quests become available.

Try completing those two quests and you should be able to finish The Story of Cron Castle. 

U have to go to cron castle and click on the statue thing from the bs quest. Also sometimes u need to do tachyon quest stonger something where u need to kill 1 stoneback crab. Which are south of velia heading towards heidel. There is that y section in the road that meets back up the crab is in there by a huge rock.

So it took some serious delving , yes this quest is bugged , and has been for years , with PA showing no signs of ever implementing or plans to implement a patch to fix this BUT there is a solution to this problem , follow this step by step and it "SHOULD" allow you to complete the quest. First , Forfeit the quest then Speak with the black smith "Tranan Underfoe" he has the knowledge locked behind his amity mini-game , BEFORE you play his amity game make sure you locate all the velia(n?) named NPC's as it will make the process much easier. After doing so , hold a conversation with him -- and use the's NPC names for effective favour to gain amity: Artemio , Igor , David , Abelin. Then after you reach 1,000 amity points he should give you some cron knowledge BUT YOU ARE NOT DONE !! Next , go into the menu head to "Disconnect" and ... well ... "Disconnect". Then after you do that , log back into the character selection part of the game then move the character who has the mission into the slot second from the top , regardless of where it was previously , change the character's location slot to the SECOND slot and log back in ... this should allow you to complete the mission like normal , go back to Tachros ( the guy who gives you the quest ) and you should be set.

YOUR SPECTRUM OF KNOWLEDGE HAS INCREASED !!
