I cant find any info whether the game will be f2p or b2p (some versions are f2p some b2p) or whether we will have founder's packs.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Should they go the same road the PC version goes the game will be B2P and there will be three options: base game, base game + value pack for 30 days +bonuses, base game + 2 x value pack for 30 days + bonuses. Of course, you will most likely have to have your Xbox Gold membership active as well.

They confirmed B2P in the Into the abyss event at E3 earlier this year

They're leaning towards Pay 2 Play but haven't settled on anything yet, they'll decide after the beta.

They don't feel right for a new release that does not force you to spend at least 100$ in cash shop to get some essential items such as pets  Sure in theory you don't need them but game is not enjoyable then.

What do you consider essentials? 

For example, grinders would consider max weight and 4 pets as essentials.

A life skiller who focuses on gathering would need max weight but not the pets. A ghillie suit is also essential.

It basically depends on your play style. If you want to be a jack of all trades, you'd need to spend a few $$$ for all the outfits and extra space etc.

My plan is considered of 50$ in essentials and around 120$ in extras like the monthly sub pack (times 6) and costumes.

I suspect it with be B2P with different editions like the Travelers/Explorers Packages etc.

B2P Founders pack probably companies like $ and PC had it 

With the Bless Unleashed announcement as F2P, the Black Desert should follow the same away. Most of the games on console that don't have an option to play offline, are F2P.

I don't think PA should follow the same model from PC, because it's a different platform and on console we are forced to pay to play online. Unless the game will be cross-platform with PC.

The B2P model nowadays on PC is most to avoid Gold Farming, Account Selling, bots and etc. On console those practice are more rare to occur.

The player culture on console to play online is still changing and at the moment most of the games offer the PVE content offline, for many reason, but the most common is to give the players the flexibility to take their console and play games wherever they are.

That's my view of full online games on console, based on the latest releases and on the new announcements. if the PA want to make their game more popular on different platforms, the game should go as F2P on it.

Not saying your wrong, but keep in mind pa spent more than a year remastering the game. Also, Xbox has the best online service bc we pay for it imo. 

I just don't want free stuff, because usually with free stuff comes mediocrity .

It's changing and we are seeing current online games and new announcements with good quality and content for free on console.

I don't think PA would release a mediocre game if it goes F2P and probably their major profit isn't coming from selling access, but from in game shop. For players that already know the game even if it launches as F2P they will buy a package, because they know the game and the features on it to save time.

What about the new players? Following PA latest event on PC, giving to them free account, looks like they are trying to capture new players, making the game more popular.

I know the game, because I'm a PC and console player, but major of my friends that just playing on console never heard about the game or about the genre. Black Desert isn't a famous game like "Red Dead Redemption" on console, that you see a huge marketing campaign and can buy it physically on your local store and etc.

I think PA want to hit new players and don't want to move their current player base on PC to play on console and to avoid these situation they will need to invest in marketing like those biggest publishers on console or leave it for everyone play.

I don't mind paying for the copy of game because it is such a great game.. damn, it is probably the most complex MMO out there. Besides, Azuki is right saying that they have put A LOT of money and time to remaster the PC version and rebuild the game for XBOX so please, take my money for your hard work. 

I also don't agree with comparing BDO to Bless which was a total fu*** flop around the world and now, by releasing a new game, they literally had to go F2P to get at least smallest bit of attention. Bless unleashed is on my radar only because it will be F2P. I will try it and uninstall the same day if it's bad. I would never pay for Bless, ever.

Again, you know the game and so do I, that's why we don't mind to paying a new copy and playing it on the couch.

My discussion is about the new players, how PA will hit those? Game Pass? Who will pay Xbox Game Pass plus Live Gold to play the game? Remember it isn't Bethesda releasing The Elder Scrolls Online.

At the moment there isn't Pre-Order officially announced, usually a new release on console start to sell the Pre-Order around a year before release.

I saw it selling earlier this year in one of the biggest game store (EB Games) in my country, but they removed it.

Why we don't have any official announcement of Pre-Order, but those stores are selling it and why some stores stop selling it?

100% chance it'll be b2p at launch with founders pack options. It might go f2p at some point but not at launch. The only questions are 

1. when will we find out the launch date

2. when will be launch date

3 how much will each pack cost

4. what will each pack contain 

My hope is we find out the date and get the price list and the end of the beta, I think that's the earliest possible date for these questions

Its will most likely be b2p since xbox is mostly a western console, and the western version is b2p. They have a f2p version but its Korean and Russian I believe.

One thing to keep in mind, xb preview program games never show up til day they launch, no pre download, no pre order. They might go this route with multiple edition then physical copy to exit beta with a soft launch. It won't start with this beta tho since they already confirmed that.

I saw that article to...I'm like looking at videos on youtube about what a new player needs. If this game has been streamlined for Xbox and there is no kakoa or whatever, then we don't know that the store, packagess, etc will be same.B so it could be lower.efore they had steam and kakoa getting their cut from sales,now its just xbox it could be lower prices,but at minium 150 about my limit to start with.

Yea we don’t know 100% what’s going to be in the pearl shop but why would they change anything from the PC version? Sure we will only get a select few outfits for each class that we will have  at launch leaving players to want new outfits even more when they’re released.They still want that $$$$ and there will be little to no difference.

I was lolking at the pc version..it just seems if the want to draw players they need prices that players can afford,because they are coming into a competitive market. If peop'e find the prices  too high less incentive to play.  You got posters in the forum that  cant afford a sub to xbox live. If it launches in december people have holiday shopping etc

Online sites claiming to be news sites tend to copy other articles without validating its true or not. We will only khow when pA officially announces. Internet is tertible due to sites just wanting traffic.
