How early in the game do you get a mount?

really early, your first mount will be a donkey tho.

You can, however, buy horse costumes which can add some stats to your existing mount.

perfect example why bdo isnt direct p2w but has hidden p2w mechanics or better known as "pay2progress"
you cant buy a better mount in pearl shop

you can upgrade your existing mount into a better one by using skill coupon reset until you got everything you need to gotagofast

Yeah, eso has the same thing, you can upgrade your mount speed and carry capacity with cash. I don't consider it p2w either

depends on that mounts DP gear
but not rly hard maybe 30 sec up to 1 minute
player rarely kill mounts tho since it cost karma
you still should make sure to place the mount somewhere safe

boats and wagons cannot be revived so if they are destroyed it is RIP
and building a fisherboat takes a very long time too
wagon can only be destroyed from players the guild is in war with

They will most likely have a T3 or T5 horse included in founders packs, the PC did anyway

If you plan on doing  horse breeding at all I would recommend investing in horse gear as mobs can kill your horse as well and every death reduces your chance at getting a better breed. You can either make your own through a workshop, buy it off the market, or to start buy some junk horse gear off the stable vendor. If your not planning on breeding or if the horse is out of breeds then you really have nothing to lose by it getting killed other then a long run back 

On PC I had quite a few mounts killed early in the game because I thought it was safe to park them on a road or a bridge.  Learn the pathing before parking.

YOU ALWAYS kill the mount first. Whats Karma? Flag on player, goto mount..kill mount.. kill player. Got atleast 10 mins now before they come back lol. You can buy mounts from the Horse Market, but honestly you can go out and catch a T5 in about 20 mins so. Catch a male and female.. breed them.. EZ T6. Rince and repeat and youll get to a T7 pretty easy.. T8 is the hard breed. Then theres T9s.. but good luck with that lol.

Deaths do not have anything to do with breeding for some time now, also they do not decrease stamina either.

but how you know what mount is owned by the player you wana deal with
also im quit sure that unless we release with valencia right from the start we wont see t5 horses spawning in the wild

I don't know.  Makum is my kind of scum.  He's exactly right and you should all get used to understanding it.  This is NOT a very friendly game.

Idk what valencia has to do with horses? Or anything about how they will release and with what. But i will tell you frm what i can tell about 25% of the players i hear from wont touch this game on console without valencia and certain classes. They will lose out big time money wise if not. T5 horses were out before valencia was tho on pc..? Even still you can smash t3 and get a t5. You dont have to worry about getting a faster mount. It comes with time. And if your not using alts and riding everywhere your playing bdo wrong anyways

Also You cant harm a mount unless your engaged in combat with its owner or owner is on it. That and this isnt a group based game, mostly youll grind solo or be left behind. You own the zone and noone shares lol.  So obvy its the mount thats not yours in most cases or the mount that takes damage.

you cant kill horses while beeing flagged?
i remember that i could kill horses and boats that where not in safe zones tho
they might have changed this to duel only which is a good thing but last time i remember i killed someones mount at sausan garnison 2 weeks ago

well to get an ETA idea when we should expect T5 horses valencia is a good point of measurement
in SEA it happend 1 month pre to valencia and they got valencia just this week

why would some1 stay away from the game without valencia? game is big enough to get lost in on calpheon, serendia, balenos, mediah esp for new players
and when they release the game with striker and mystic right from the start theres gona be broken PvP so if those players actual stay away from the game because of this
unbalanced classes missing - awww yeah

That's 25% of pc players, which I think will make up a very small percentage of the overall community. The majority of the players will be new to the game. When ESO came over from pc, the amount that transferred to console was less than 10%, if I remember correctly. (I understand it's a different game and different situation). Holding back Valencia, classes, content, etc, will essentially have no impact on how well the game does or how much money they make. The majority won't even know those items are missing. Everything depends the timing of the release and how well it performs under pressure. Those 2 items will determine the games success, imo.

in SEA it happend 1 month pre to valencia and they got valencia just this week

why would some1 stay away from the game without valencia? game is big enough to get lost in on calpheon, serendia, balenos, mediah esp for new players

As faceroll as people will go, youll need valencia within the first month for exp.. your gunna be nerfed AF and overcrowded without it. Dont believe the hype game pretty balanced. Everything has a counter and a purpose. Being an undergeared player late to the game, I dont have a single issue. I think people get the idea in their heads that all characters should be able to fight all over characters evenly and do all things evenly.. thats just not the way it works or should. Some are duelers, some are node war/large scale toons, some dont shine till end game, some grind PvE better... thats the way it should be.

lets be honest tho.... is anyone really expecting it to perform well? I know im not.. lol planning to life skill only for about 3-4 months. Figure thatll be how long it takes them to get things sorted out pretty well. Timing i think isnt a huge deal. Theres only one REAL true MMO out there that could even compete with BDO and thats ESO. PVP is so stale there that people are banging down my stream all the time asking about BDO release.. It could come out next year or two years later and as long as no REAL competitor enters the ring still slam sells. Two mmos, one has great PVE and one will have great PVP and thatll be the divide.

pretty sure there wont be overcrowded grindspots
PA is aware of this and will handle it with enough channels and the release of mediah 1 week after release to drag the pre access bundle buyers out of calpheon
they also release in waves using the bundles so i dont think we see overcrowded grindspots at all

the only time i've ever seen such a thing in bdo was when i did the steel imp kill quest when the game official released for everyone day 1 on EU
where literaly not a single imp was there left in the grindspot in front of olivia and you couldnt finish the quest cos you needed to wait for them to spawn and get a killshot
and there wasnt mediah for 3 months where the whole EU playerbase had to sit onto calpheon grindspots in +15 gear 

i can tell you that times are the best memorys i have of this game
everyone was new and had 0 clue what to do in this huge korean mess
no bddatabase, no codex nothin

sorc was op af and ranger shotgunned everything 2 death

good times

EU must be completely different then NA... every single one of our spots is overcrowded almost every single day all time of the day... and we have a ton of channels...

Its solo once you grind in alt c and farm them like adds. Lol. You already know most people there arnet my gear score. With shield and pa i literally ignore them and put them into the rotation.
