I definitely agree with the ogre ring argument.

Unless you got a ranger with fluff ton of AP I wouldnt even touch it with a stick.

Yeah my older content went with the ban.

I could remake this but ive honestly re-written it over and over. Changing it up today again knowing that well be able to hit 55 ( hopefully in ~80 hours if i play my cards right).

The only thing im currently torn on is Zerk vs Sorc.

Both have their advantages going in. One will grind much faster, one will stay relevant until late game.

I always thought both classes were pretty similar regarding both grinding and Sorc only having a slight edge over Zerk as far as relevance. Though I get most of that second hand and late, as in the meta has surely changed since i was told that like 8 months ago assuming it was even correct to begin with.

Pre awakening Zerk is just as fast if not faster than witch and wizzard on the grind.

Most people wouldn't think of it but you can abuse grapples accuracy to kill deep purple. For example in the BETA at the cap of 40 i was comfortably solo grinding calph shrine with a +15 main hand and a +7 saiyer by abusing my grabs.

Zerk also has their spin to win on CD to fast clear weak mob packs along with BWS for heavy damage and a spamable knockdown for down damage on their Raging Thunder for high DP mobs.

They also have amazing pack to pack mobility with lava piercer, ult evasion + headbut movement combinations.

If youve followed server progression its always been a zerk thats # 1 growth until awakenings launch.

Pre-awakend sorc struggles on the grind due to her kit being primarily single target or frontal cone.

She can take black wave for slightly better clear but it wastes CP , taking away from her pvp focused abilities (which is the reason to roll sorc before awakenings).

She has decent travel time between packs but may take 4-5 abilites to clear the pack where zerk spins through and wipes it instantly.

 

With awakening this all changes.

Zerk's awakened damage isnt much better than his pre-awakened kit (since they nerfed cannon spam farming).

Sorc on the other hand gets great aoe damage and debuffs with violation / turnback slash (they have some downtime though due to mana issues when farming large numbers of low DP packs).

Sorc really shines at this point on highd DP mobs such as Hysteria / Gyffin. She has the highets PVE dps with back attacks (and a spinning blade taunt to pull agro) and the fastest clear speeds for some of the best grind spots in the game.

They also stay one of the top 1  v 1 pvp classes after awakening.

Sadly zerk has lost most of its protection and the grab chain has been removed from its kit, making it all around mediocre in every aspect of the game once all classes awaken,

Ohhh, that makes sense. I really need to start learning about the other classes. Oh yeah, I thought Ranger was the next best for grinding after Witch/Wiz, is Zerk really that much better?

Tamer is number one don't you know she can pull the maximum amount of mobs and heliang can pull his own amount also so essentially you can pull twice the amount in the same time you can on normal class,  but hey I'm a newb what do I know.

I heard she's one of the worst but in reality. I went to bdo official forums yesterday and every class people felt they were nerfed, bad. I left there concluding it was either true or the simple fact they didn't know how to play their classes well. So are all 17 so nerfed or are the players posting subpar? Should we be optimistic, and maybe should ignore all thats said?

Everything got nerfed mostly due to the new combat system. This effected some classes mroe then other but more accurately changed playstyles and the flow of combat. Tamer wasnt that great to start with that being said. The guy is just trolling or ignorant. My guess is trolling.

 As per the latest developments on Test Labs they are balancing the older classes a bit and Zerk will likely get some buffs. As it is it's very mobile class with lots of AOE, Self-Sufficiency via Heals and fun to play. I personally would never go Sorc cause that's just :residentsleeper: mode. But then i don't really want to grind Hystria that much, little bit of me dies every minute in that boring place. Manshaums forever for me and that spot simply Sucks for Sorc.

True. Zerks mobility is screwed sadly on xbox though due to how ultimate evasion works.

All zerk movement combos (outside lava piercer) needs ult evasion but its a double tap directional skill.

This means you have to hit the joystick twice in the same direction in some unknown time frame (extremely variable).

It only worked like 1/5 times for me in Beta.

You dont know how long to leave the joystick over before pushing the 2nd time, if you pull the stick back, how far you have to push it / pull it back, ect.

Super unreliable. This sadly kills zerks mobility.
