As some may know I'm a PC Gamer converting to Console just cuz. of this game. Now until now I was using Discord + Guild Chat for communication but what are the options on XBOX as it does not have such a APP as Discord has no restriction on how many people can join the same voice channel and I really would not like to be limited to a max number of five as in a party. I always prefer even if I dont talk to have people talk in the background and than theres me lurking in the shadows listening or trying hard not to die from laughter as most will agree voice chat is a must to have being limited to chat is not the same esp. on console where it takes 3 years to write a sentence. So what are the options and how is it going to work?. I know its a stupid question to ask but for me its a crucial thing to know for a game.

Party chat is like 8 or 10 I think, hopefully the game has a good in game voice chat system it just make games more immersive, I hate that the in game voice chat in ESO wasn't that good because it was awesome just talking to random people I ran into.

using some tricks you can actually get 32 people into a xbox party, its a bit of a mess doe, i do hope their is some form of in game chat though, makes the game feel more alive. and anyone that doesn't know, you can plug any keyboard into the usb slot on the back of the console, and when you press enter on ESO or TERA it will open up the chatbox and you can type and stuff, pressing enter again will send the msg, hopefully they integrate that feature.

this is the cheapo keyboard i use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VX77Q72/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

12 people can be in a xbox live party, On pc there is a ingame chat, I've never used it though. Not sure if it'll be on xbox. Discord is on xbox already, though limited atm, you can link your xbox account to discord and see your friends. Not sure if they will add the othere features anytime soon. Hope this helps.

Well that would be nc as well but than again I personally hate that as most games I had that option in had a really terrible quality compared to discord.

Multiple ways. On voice, you can have normally up to 16 or I think even more now people in a party. I don't know anyone who would want that though, it's an insane amount of people and you can barely hear what anyone is saying. GvG's i'd either divide groups or all go to Discord. You can link up a Keyboard and type that way just by plugging it into your xbox, but if you didn't want to deal with the hassle of wires and space being taken up, you can use the Xbox App which brings up a virtual keyboard and you can even join parties that way, which I do not recommend because you'll sound just like a potato using a kinect.

Xbox has a pretty good chat system from my experience, I use it all the time with no big issues. Using a keyboard is helpful with console also.

Doesn't xbox have a discord app still? I remember before the pary chat system went through discord back when Destiny was first released there was also a discord app. I don't know if it still exists though, I haven't seen anyone use it in years.

There was never a Discord app for Xbox ever. This is the first time they are teaming up. Right now, they are still working on how they can improve it for Xbox.

Ohhhhh yeah, it was Skype, my mistake. I get all these chat sites mixed up, its skype that the current(or past?) part chat used.

Even Skype if I could remember couldn't be half opened it had to be treated like a full app, and even then it was not good to use because it was treated as a separate app instead of in the background and so it wasn't integrated.

It will certainly be interesting if Xbox can get Discord fully implemented.  They already announced full keyboard support recently and also support a lot of headset models for Xbox party chat.   I have used Xbox Party Chat for several years in games like Destiny, Overwatch, COD, Battlefield and others.  It works well just cant have like a huge group of people connected to it at a time.  would work great for small party sized groups but not an entire guild at once.  other thing that I always loved about chat apps like discord is that they have text and voice chat all in one place,  and you can have seperate channels as part of the main group so you can be in the large party or split off for small party activities.

The party system on Xbox isn't too bad -- I've used it for the past 13 years of being on Xbox overall. If they do have in-game voice options though, I'll go that route because otherwise, I have to set my party to private and keep inviting people when their systems kick them out (which is the only annoyance IMHO since people love to jump in randomly and scream about my existence).
