Can anyone been able to start this quest. It starts from the book at the top of the tower in tarif by the storage manager and is the quest like for the black abyss gloves.

Ive got my black abyss weapon, did the boots quest, almost done with the helm but cant get this one to start. 

Ive looked it up and back tracked all the pre req quests and cant get any if then. All the way back to walking to the profit kid in Altinova (which is suppose to be given to me by my black spirit)

These pre reqs are also needed to open up the ability to upgrade your dim off hand past the second upgrade.

Does anyone have any info on this?

Yeah i finished abyssal weapon, boots and helm and still no luck

I've been trying for this quest for quite some time and haven't gotten a single helpful answer. Most people just say oh you gotta do the quest line, but that's all they say. I am assuming it's just bugged and can't be done on xbox currently. Since I have done the coop version off Illezra's Threat but can't proc the normal one. Some of the pre quests don't actually exist and some are renamed. So could be an oversight and it wasn't added, or it's a bug is my guess.

There is a quest we should have after where we currently stop. If u start and alt and scroll down u will see a quest chain u never did ending in co op awakened black spirit. We need that quest chain in order to get ilzera threat.

Alternatively, if you are super lucky, the gloves do drop in abandoned iron mines at a stupidly low rate

I see that now. Has all the quests I was looking for. Makes me wonder if it has to do with the Mediah crossroads quest. Siding with the one side blocks off this chain maybe?

Ive done all 3 heidel and both mediah crossroads. I assure u it doesnt

Ahh, I've only done the one Mediah one. Must be bugged then. 

Is the drop chance of gloves in the game? Havent heard anyone on xbox looting on on the server chats

They drop at iron mine. Its in the bdo codex.  While i have not got one myself yet, i did loot a merchant helm from helms which has the same low drop rate
