I'm so frustrated with this. Every guide says to complete ficy's quests in heidel to gain plywood knowledge. I have done these and my processing is in professional level. I still can't make them. What am I missing here? 

i've been in the same situation. it's a quest line that you need to complete so you can get to do that, not just Ficy's. i couldn't do it, so i just hired a worker and got a woodwork house and turned the planks to plywoods.

Yeah this makes no sense as I did the quest, but not sure if maybe I am missing some branches of quests that lead up to those. This is very poorly designed for xbox with little to no information on what steps you need to take. I wanted to process the plywood myself for xp, so guess I will just hold on to all my planks till I figure this mess out.

You can make planks, not plywood.

You have to turn on life skill quests in your profile to accept it. Also it takes 10 planks for 1 plywood. I'm also looking for someone to make plywood with me so we can control the price. Message me on here or in game if you're interested. Ingame @Arie

I think I got a knowledge proc making planks to learn plywood after 200 crafts.

The questline in keplan at processing 10 gathering skilled 5 what ever gives a quest to make the sturdy after if I remember and the pure crystals.

The bypass to ficy starts with the dorf in the heidel quarry and goes through alexandro farm then ficy once you have the app3 gather and the processing 

I had a similiar problem with a couple lifeskills. Had the levels just could not get a quest from ficy. Spent the better part of two nights to figure it out. Had to go back to Velia,and talk to the alchemist. He starts a chain of life skill quests. Did all these, came back to Heidel, and all was well.

i'll probably do that today and start from Velia..

Don't worry, I still can't even figure out how to dry fish to this day. Regardless if the sun is shining I can not do it. Must be some knowledge from a quest I need to gather. I have more pressing needs though. Maybe next toon I run ill stay a little longer in Velia.

To dry fish u just need fresh caught fish and dry them in the drying section of processing

Hmm possible. I'm thinking it's the same thing that I had missed with heating. Had to complete a quest where they required you to do it before I could actually do it. Back to Velia!

Im not sure. My first character started with afk fishing and drying before i even knew there were such things as lifeskill quests. Wasnt until i needed higher processing knowledge that i discovered that. Best of luck to you though

You have to have your gathering to level 14 (apprentice 4) to start the chain quest.
