I’ve been trying to find out the most successful combos for combat. I’ll post the combo I’ve been using to get feedback, but I’m looking for a faster more efficient way to deal with mobs and 1v1s.

I dunno the names and i don't think they're the best to perform, but for a bunch of mobs i do (LS down + RT) (LS up + B) (RT + LT x2) (RB + RT) till i clear.. lol 

Serious noob trying to be serious. >.<

But yeah, same like OP, would like to know the best combos to perform 

If you go into counter stance you can cancel it into a chopping kick or charging thrust to throw opponents off sometimes

Use your CC skills body slam followed up with spinning blade can be brutal with or without 100 spirit energy.

also at 50 plus be sure to take your skill add on’s 

personally I would recommend the following (this is also great in PvP) 

50 shield Charge take def buff for yourself and lower target attack speed 

52 spear take target movement speed decrease and the pain dot 

54 spinning slash take movement speed buff and the dot skill 

Hope this is helpful also to take add one u must visit a trainer. 

Try deep thrust into shield charge. He who lands the first cc (crowd control like stiffness, stun,knockdown) wins  if you can chain  CC ; with equal gear and assuming you do enough damage to out damage heal potions.

Movement is a necessity. Don't be that guy that thinks just because you have a shield you can be completely stationary and take everything on. Shield charge and your B dash is key. Grab and/or shield charge them for a stun then grab. Once on ground follow with Spinning slash x2, then back kick or ground slash (these two can be alternated), another spinning slash, and back RB for possibility to get them on ground again. Your main damage is coming from spinning slash and ground slash.

I did some research on pre awakening combos, and so far this works great (for groups in pve)

usually start with ground roar (LT + RT) to gather some mobs and put Debuff followed by ground smash ( LT+B) to get the smaller monsters on the ground and finish the most off with scars of dusk (Assigned to hotbar).

finish the left over with Spinning slash (Down+RT)

when in need i kick to gain some quick WP  

With awakening out now, what is the meta combo for pve and clearing mobs?

Pvp it looks like there is an arsenal of situational combos, which I gladly embrace. Love the diversity of it all.

Reason I have to ask is, even with a tri greatsword, I have yet to find any one move that does more damage then absolute spinning slash.

I was under the impression that awakening was going to make the majority of the non awakened skills useless.

i think you'll still make more damage with pre-awakening skills, maybe till you hit 60 and unlock awa skill at that lvl..
