Alright, on ps4 pro as the benchmark here.
When standing still everything looks amazing. Look down and set the camera angle to approx 45 degrees.
Run any direction. You will notice and it is very obvious. The ground, the grass, the rocks, they change shape again and again.
I'll refer to that as the draw distance. Now, the steeper the angle the higher quality everything can be, since the draw distance can be way closer to the person.
If the player wants to look nearly straight forward, their PS4 has to render an entire map. That will literally look like a potato.
Is there any way at all to disable the verticle camera axis?
I dont need to look up and down unless I equip a match lock, which that would be an instance where I'd take the time for a FPV and look down the sights.
Gotta make hunting feel like hunting.
The ground, when I'm looking forward, it's shifting and changing shapes consistently. It's hard to concentrate and I lose locality of my avatar, especially if I'm moving very quickly.
