Black Desert notice reads: "Authentication failed. If you received a refund through the store, try repurchasing the item. [BEC_001/190]"

Cannot log into the game because I can't get past the start button, yet I can play just fine on a different Xbox profile. I have nothing to repurchase. Already tried reinstalling as well as deleting reserved space.

You have to rebuy whatev edition you got a refund for. And send in a ticket with proof that you bought it.

You need to report this to xbox support. They have an xbox ranger trying to resolve this situation. Before game release I upgraded from deluxe to ultimate and now black desert is trying to make me purchase another deluxe to remove block on my account. They are basically holding my account hostage for another  $50 on top of the  $100 I already spent

Yes you are right   it's not on xbox end  like I  said they are now aware that it is black desert issue because of numerous reports everyone needs to report issue to xbox and give them resource to resolve problem

I put in another report to Microsoft, just for the sake of them being aware of it and hopefully upping their communication with PA. Now if only PA support could respond to tickets appropriately.

Yeah I appreciate you guys reporting this. I've sent in five tickets in last two days and have received four generic responses to repurchase the game. Microsoft is our only avenue to reconcile this. Keep up the pressure

Yeah, I've been getting this error all day. was literally on the other night and the game was working fine. I purchased the ultimate edition on launch and thus the edition xbox made me repurchase was the $99.99 Ultimate edition. even after repurchasing, still getting this issue.

 

naturally like OP said, it's working fine on my other account. I hardly get days off and was excited to be making my Lahn and then actually being able to play but it's looking like that's a pipe dream at this point.

 

 

UPDATE: Black Desert customer support messaged me back finally and told me this is a ban because after having purchased both the Ultimate and Standard edition, I refunded the Standard and kept the HIGHER tier edition, I'm being banned for having been refunded and getting the items from the LESSER edition and thus am UNABLE to play the HIGHER priced edition. I now would have to REPURCHASE the standard and not touch ANY of the items THEY send with it for the entire DURATION of my play of the game or else I'll be banned again aka I'm being nickel and dimed. I'm imagining that because THEY foolishly don't offer an ability to simply upgrade editions for the rewards for higher editions, that people have pretty much been buying the Ultimate edition, redeeming the items and then refunding the Ultimate and buying the Standard pretty much getting the Ultimate Edition rewards for the Standard Edition price. Of course, via the response from their own GM, they've acknowledge that I refunded the STANDARD and actually kept the higher priced edition even to a point where I just purchased ANOTHER Ultimate in good faith. I'll probably now be seeking an entire refund across the board and not touching this game ever.

Yeah, the exact same thing is happening to me, but I tried to upgrade the Deluxe Edition. The problem is, I haven't even touched the bundle included in the Deluxe Edition!

Very very odd. I'm wondering what counts as redemption of the items. I'm going to assume it's the act of getting the item from the mailbox. Because I put the "extra" items from the Standard into my storage and didn't use them.

hello every one can any one help me with this issue  because black?? desert support  tickets won't let me send any information becase it keeps saying i dont have filled everything, 

well found out why i can't send anything is because when i fill the discription last thing u have to fill in ticket the text keeps comming back from what there stands in slight gray and thats why he keeps ?saying that i dont filled everything what i realy do did so hope to get answers from the GM's here or atleast a personal approach

After three days of waiting and showing them that I had not redeemed the deluxe edition like they claimed I did, GM more or less told me to spend an extra 50$ or shove off. What kind of shoddy damage control and issue service is this? Not only has Pearl Abyss failed to implement a system that allows for package upgrades, but they also punish players for the flawed system that they implemented in the first place, even if they player did not exploit the game in any way. Truly disappointing to think that I had high hopes for BDO on Xbox. Unless Pearl Abyss somehow fixes this, I'm getting my money back and leaving BDO behind me.
