The latest Black Desert update is here, bringing with it a new region in O'dyllita, new accessories, Fallen God armor, and so much more! Quest and Knowledge Changes

We have improved the guild combat missions. Before, the completion rewards were different even if the size limitations were the same, depending on the number of monsters the mission required the guild to kill. Therefore, we have improved the mission rewards to scale based on guild size, lowered the number of monsters for the unpopular missions, cleared out some of the regular missions, and added new missions. However, the guild boss subjugation missions that require the guild boss summons were kept the same.

● Changed the rewards of guild combat missions to the following according to the guild sizes.
- Regardless of which guild combat missions are completed, the guild will be rewarded the rewards listed below, according to their size.
- These changes are applied to [Subjugation] missions, but not to [Boss Subjugation] mission.

Winter Season Ends

● Winter Season comes to a close.
- All winter Season characters that have not already been converted to normal characters, will automatically be converted during the maintenance.
- Adventurers who have not completed ‘[Season Server Graduation] At the Crossroad’ or ‘[Season Server Graduation] Into the Big Wide World’ will find their Gift Box Full of Memories and the Fughar’s Letter of Encouragement in their mail. Head to Rewards>Mail to collect them.
* This mail will be deleted on April 29th 2022 at 11:59PM (UTC+0), so please make sure to collect it as soon as possible.
- All Season quests that have not been completed have been deleted.
- Your highest level Tuvala gear per slot has automatically been converted, if it had not already been done so by the December 8th Maintenance.
- Tuvala enhancement materials, Tuvala conversion stones, unconverted Tuvala gear, and other seasonal items have been deleted.

O’dyllita - A land of Darkness and Secrets Opens 

Those banished from the green pastures of Kamasylvia find themselves in O’dyllita. Discover more about the story of the Ahibs, the secrets buried within the region, and Caphras the immortal alchemist in the new region, O’dyllita!
● The start screen has been updated to match the theme of the new region, O’dyllita.

New Area - Ash Forest 


● The Ash Forest monster zone has been added.  
- Ash Forest has a recommended 300AP and 400DP. These are some of the most powerful enemies to face in Black Desert, and the utmost of caution is advised. 
We hope this hunting ground will become a new goal for ambitious adventurers who aim to be the very best. Just as many challengers rose up to the challenge in the Valencia update when we first introduced Aakman and Hystria, we eagerly await the day when adventurers conquer the Ash Forest.

● Added the new accessory, 'Deboreka's Necklace', which can be obtained by defeating monsters of Ash Forest.

● The spectres of Ash Forest are overflowing with pure hatred towards the living, and are not easily distracted by summons and other magic.
- If a character is nearby, the monsters of Ash Forest will ignore any summoned creatures and prioritize attacking the character first.
- Monsters will only attack summoned creatures first if the character has the maximum number of monsters attacking them.
- In the event of the Rift Seed being attacked, Gairas will be summoned and the agro of the monsters around him will be agro’d too.  

 

● The knowledge regarding the spectre that appears during the Star’s End questline has been moved from the Star’s End category to the Ash Forest Category.
● You will gain 1 extra energy for the ‘Ash Forest’ knowledge category, even if you only have 1 item of knowledge.  



Alustin’s Alchemy Journal  

● Added Alustin's Alchemy Journal to the Adventure Logs.
- This Adventure Log holds the records of Alustin, the famous alchemisy of Velia.
- To begin the Alustin’s Alchemy Journal, you must first have completed [O’dyllita] Keepsake of Ataraxia, and have reached level 61. Only then will you be able to accept and complete the Adventure Log from the Black Spirit.
- Complete the objectives to obtain a large number of Caphras Stones.  


Character Changes  

● Improved the motions of your character and ship to appear more natural when boarding Rowboats and Fishing Boats.


Ranger
● Prime: Evasive Explosion Shot - Fixed the issue where Invincible would be applied on cooldown in certain situations. 



Sorceress
● Succession: Dark Backstep - Fixed the issue where the Movement Speed was slower than when using a normal version of Dark Backstep.
● Succession: Dark Backstep - Increased the distance traveled.
● Prime: Dark Flame - Fixed the issue where you could only combo into Ultimate: Dark Flame by pressing RT/R2
● Prime: Midnight Stinger - Fixed the issue where the Shards of Darkness effect wouldn't refresh when performing attacks by pressing RT/R2
● Fixed the issue where the amulet wouldn't be displayed during the idle animation in the Pearl Shop. 


Maehwa
● Full Moon Wall - Fixed the issue where an unnatural text would be displayed on the description.


Mystic
● Core: Tidal Burst - Changed to recover 2 Martial Spirit Shards now instead of one on hits.
● Tidal Burst IV - Changed the skill's description to match the actual effects.
● Gushing Waters - Changed to prioritize activating Wolf's Frenzy or Spiral Torpedo when pressing LT+B/L2+O or LS↑+B/ LS↑+O 


Item Changes 

● You can no longer sell Cron Stones to vendors.
● The following items have had their descriptions improved.
- The following item buff descriptions have been standardised: Secret Book of Florin, [Event] Giovan Grolin’s Support Scroll.
- The following Item/Buff effects have been improved : Supreme Old Moon Box, [Event] Heartwarming Spring Draught, [Event] Vibrant Peach Flower Draught.

● Separated [Musa] Wilderness Gloves from the [Musa] Wilderness Armor.
- Added [Musa] Wilderness Gloves to the outfit boxes that contain the [Musa] Wilderness Armor.
* Adventurers who had the [Musa] Wilderness Armor in their possession will find the [Musa] Wilderness Gloves in their storage in Heidel.

● Added Atanis Firefly and Small Atanis Firefly to the Campsite Shop.
- Atanis Firefly: 200 Silver
- Small Atanis Firefly: 100 Silver

● Items relating to mount skill change coupons, mount branding stones and items that are related to the growth of mounts have had the Alpaca added to them.
※ Alpaca will be added to the game in a future update.

● Item descriptions of Pearl shop items relating to mounts have been improved.

● Certain ‘hunting’ lifeskill monsters have been increased by around 20%.


Quest and Knowledge Changes

● Gehez,head of the mercenary office in Dreighan, has begun selling the "Gehez Mercenary Office Scroll."
- You must have completed the "Deian's Schemes" quest on at least one of your Family's characters in order purchase a "Gehez Mercenary Office Scroll."
- Each "Gehez Mercenary Office Scroll" costs 1 million Silver.
- Speak to Gehez with a "Gehez Mercenary Office Scroll" in possession to exchange it with one of the following quests.

UI Changes

● A new UI notification has been added that will help Adventurers who have not yet received the free Special Gift Packages, and links them to where they can get them.
- This notification will appear once per day for those who have yet to obtain the free packages. 
The Current Location feature or the so-called "ping" feature, that we said during the last Calpheon Ball we would improve, has been categorized into four different patterns: Attack, Moving, Command, and Warning. This change was made so that you can use the feature more efficiently. We also added images for Adventurers who have trouble distinguishing colors.

In addition to the improved "guild ping" feature, we are working on a "guild marker" feature for guilds that allows you to mark locations on the World Map. We hope this "guild marker" feature can be used in a variety of ways including marking enemies' nodes and defense points, designating attack routes for allies, and more. 
● Improved so that you can use a wider variety of pings when using the Show Location to Guild Members.
- To quickly use the ping function, you can use the ‘Guild Ping’ setting from the Ring Menu to notify Guild or Party members of a location. However, the ping will only show the location of the adventurer using it.
- On the world map, you can ping a location by holding down L3 and using RS to select a ping on a highlighted location.


● You can also use the Ring Menu to add these pings to a quick use function. To do so, go to the ‘Edit Ring Menu’ option and add the following Ping Markers.
- Select Attack Ping
- Select Moving Ping
- Select Command Ping
- Select Warning Ping

 


Improvements will be made to the "arrange" feature on your inventory. You can use this improved feature for your inventory as well as your storage in a variety of ways including "Auto Arrange," sorting by grade, enhancement level, weight (LT), capacity (VT), or equipped parts, as well as in "Ascending order" or "Descending order." We hope this feature gives you the flexibility you desire. 
● Improved the "arrange" feature so that you can arrange items in your Inventory and storage depending on the settings.
- In addition to the "Auto Arrange" feature, you can now arrange items by grade, enhancement level, LT, VT, and equipped parts.
- Improved so that you can use the "Ascending order" and "Descending Order" arrange features after setting arrange settings. 


System Changes

● The default option for the Beauty Album has been changed to most popular in the last year.  


Other Changes

● Unified terms regarding to Node Wars in various languages. 
● An issue where items could abnormally align when sorting the inventory has been fixed.
● Various abnormalities in the games background has been fixed.
● Fixed an issue where Guild Icons would not be alligned correctly in the Node information tab.
● Fixed an issue with certain [Guardian] Underwear sets where the underwear could display incorrectly.
● Fixed an issue with the [Mystic] Sin Terrna outfit where the mesh would display awkwardly in certain situations. .
● Fixed an issue with the [Mystic] Sin Terrna outfit where the sleeves would display abnormally in certain situations.
● Fixed an issue where the [Dark Knight] Sin Terrna outfit would display incorrectly on the shoulders.
● Fixed an issue where the Epheria Cog could not be registered at certain Wharf Managers.
● Trial Characters have been improved so that they can no longer activate ‘Toggle PvP Mode’.
