New Additions & Improvements

Berserker
We sought to make improvements to the arsenal of skills the Awakened Berserker could use in PvE. The most common combo made use of [Seismic Blast], [Flow: Split Shot], [Flow: Scatter Shot], [Flow: Slugfest], [Titan Blow], [Flow: Ancient Wave], and while said skills were on cooldown, Berserkers could only use [Blasting] - [Ground Lifting] repeatedly. Today's update takes the somewhat lackluster [Flow: General Disarray] skill and brought new life into it as [Flame Pummel], which we hope will be used a major skill for PvE situations, and relieve Berserkers from having to repeat [Blasting] - [Ground Lifting] to deal more powerful combos.

Awakening

Titan Syndrome
  • Changed to only be usable via Quick Slot.
    • Pressing its former command (L1/LB) will activate Flame Pummel (new skill).

  • Changed so other skills will combo first instead of movement.

  • Changed the command to activate the last attack.
    • Before: R1/RB or L2/LT + R1/RB

We sought to further accentuate the Awakened Corsair's ranged-focus gameplay as opposed to her more melee-centric Main Weapon skills.
With this change, we focused on improving [Wave-breaker Patraca] as a skill for Corsair to keep her opponents at bay, and added the new [Entangling Vortex] skill. These improvements allow her to increase the gap between her foes to even greater range, and we also added the [Surface-slicer Patraca] skill with its Knockdown debuff that can come in handy even when [Wind-piercer Patraca] is on cooldown.

Node Investment - Maintain Invested Node Levels

Invested nodes will now maintain their levels. You may also retrieve the contribution from nodes that you are maintaining for future visits.
If you wish to receive the benefits of node investment at a monster zone during your adventure, you can easily activate the benefits by reinvesting at any time, since the node level will be maintained.
With the previous update, node level can go up to 20, and the amount of energy required for node level up was adjusted. It is recommended to check if you have achieved a sufficient node level before retrieving.
  • Improved nodes to maintain investment levels even when you retrieve contributions from them.
    • Reconnecting the node you have invested in will reactivate the item drop rate increase effect according to the level of the node.

Node Investment - Investing Energy within the Family

And… It’s also something that Adventurers have consistently mentioned through various official channels for Black Desert. With the new update, you can now invest energy without changing characters. We are delighted to finally be able to share this news and the update.
  • You can now invest energy in nodes without changing characters.
    • When investing energy in nodes or production nodes, you can invest energy without changing characters.
    • When you select energy investment, you can see a list of characters and their energy.
      • After selecting from the list, you can invest energy in the node.

1. The maximum level of nodes was expanded from Lv. 10 to Lv. 20.
2. The amount of energy required to reach node level 10 was reduced.
- Required energy: 11,350 → 5,200
3. The benefit of investing in nodes was changed to the following:
- Item Drop Rate increases by 0.5% per investment level (Item Drop Rate increases by 10% at node Lv. 20).

Revamped Marni's Realm - Private Monster Zone UI

The placement of monsters in the realm has been partially changed. We have tried to balance the overall conditions as much as possible, and if there are any issues, we will continue to improve. Thank you.
  • Revamped the following Private Monster Zones in Marni's Realm.
    • Improved the accessibility of Marni's Realm for more Adventurers via server optimization.
      • Adjusted the positions and ranges of each zone.
    • Some objects and animals that exist in the regular Monster Zones will no longer appear in Marni's Realm.
    • Reduced the monster respawn time within Marni's Realm significantly. (Note: For some cases, it remains the same as before.)

Ornette’s/Odore’s Spirit Essence Family Inventory Registration

Ornette’s Spirit Essence and Odore’s Spirit Essence can now be used directly from the Family inventory without having to transfer them to storage.

This was a frequently requested feature by Adventurers via our official channels, and after much consideration and discussion, we are pleased to announce this news.

Unlike other treasures that add special effects to Adventurers’ adventures, Ornette’s and Odore’s Spirit Essences were considered essential items. While treasure items add convenience and uniqueness to the game, we believed that having them be essential items would prevent Adventurers from fully experiencing the uniqueness of treasure items.

Finding treasures as a personal goal and obtaining them after a long journey (or unexpectedly) is a thrilling and proud experience. However, if this process is considered essential, it may be difficult to provide only enjoyable experiences.
Ornette’s and Odore’s Spirit Essences have been made available through various updates and events, but with today’s update, we have added more convenience and purchasing options through the Central Market. We hope that adventurers will enjoy their adventures in the wider world of Black Desert even more with this update.

  • Ornette’s Spirit Essence and Odore’s Spirit Essence can now be placed and used from your Family inventory.
    • Improved Ornette’s/Odore’s Spirit Essence and other Spirit Essences to be moved by the storage maids, regardless of territories.
    • Automatic use of Ornette's/Odore’s Spirit Essence can be toggled on again by pressing the Potion Settings via your fairy.

Mass opening of Production Node Sacks

You can now open all the sacks obtained from Nodes in one go. In fact, we began developing this feature when we started converting each by-product into a sack, but it took a little longer due to complexities in the process. We apologize to adventurers who may have found it inconvenient to open each one individually. Moving forward, we will strive to implement these quality-of-life improvements in a more timely manner.
  • Improved so that now you can open multiple sacks obtained by workers at production nodes at once.

      • When opening sacks, selecting the "Max LT" button will open as many sacks as possible within the weight limit.

Node War Participation Opportunity Return Conditions

  • Changed the conditions for returning Node War participation opportunity.

If the participant's guild in the Node War either destroys an enemy fort or achieves a total of 100 or more kills/deaths, the opportunity will be returned. If within the first 10 min the guild fort is not destroyed, and the participant's guild either destroys an enemy fort or achieves a total of 100 or more kills/deaths, the opportunity will be returned.
    • The Node War participation opportunities for guilds occupying territories are fixed at a maximum of 2 times per week regardless of victory/defeat/liberation, and the opportunities are reset at the end of the Conquest War every Saturday.
      • However, if the minimum condition for participation opportunity return is not met when participating in the Node War from a guild occupying a territory, the opportunities will be exhausted as before, and you will not be able to participate in the Node War.
  • (Minimum condition for the participation opportunity return: Within the first 10 min, the guild (alliance) fort is not destroyed, and the participant's guild (alliance) either destroys an enemy fort or achieves a total of 100 or more kills/deaths.)

Node War Individual Reward Conditions

  • Changed the conditions for acquiring individual rewards in Node War.

  • The Heidel Sentries who have been guarding Heidel Castle have stepped back, and the castle gate has been opened. Heidel Castle has begun preparing for a new makeover to welcome Adventurers.

  • Added the Ring Menu Preset where you can save/load the current ring menu.
    • Go to Menu - Settings - Ring Menu - L2/LT + □/X.
    • Up to 3 presets can be saved per character.
  • Improved the button image of the controller directional key in the Skill Command.

  • Improved the issue where the game closed when loading between moving servers, selecting characters, etc.

  • Fixed the issue where Corsair appeared abnormal if a cutscene started to play while she was performing Mareca skills.
  • Fixed the abnormal appearance of the arms when wearing [Dark Knight] Secrua Vediant and certain gloves together.
  • Fixed the issue where wearing the [Woosa] Prowling Tiger Armor would make your neck appear awkward while idle.
  • Fixed an issue where the progression was occasionally unnatural when entering Yolu's Cradle.
  • Improved the smoke effect of the Monsterbane Cannon used during the Eye of the Great Ocean, Khan battle to allow for better visuals after firing.
  • Fixed the issue where you couldn't move items from Clorince's Travel Bag/Liana's Tool Bag when a system notification displayed after attempting to move any items out of the bags.
  • Fixed the issue where the equipment enhancement button was displayed in an abnormal position for new adventurers.
  • Fixed the issue where the quest guidance provided after loading screens such as reconnection or server transfer would guide to a different location.
  • Changed the total number of maids/butlers in the list to be displayed correctly.
  • Fixed the location of the notification message for World Bosses when announcing the appearance of a single World Boss.
  • Fixed an issue where Melee AP increase was applied instead of AP increase when using Blessing of Taebaek V.
  • Fixed the issue where the sorting of received mail in the Mailbox was abnormal.
  • Fixed an issue where the pack of Manshaum appearing in specific locations in Manshaum Forest had different respawn times compared to other packs.
  • Fixed the issue where the number of pages increased when refreshing the list in the Worker Exchange.
